Nova comes back from 14-3 deficit to stomp ODU in The Ghetto, 38-14!

Flagship and Trips on suicide watch? That is all!

They call them NoDU for a reason.

The UD-ODU game will be interesting. An offense that can't score versus a defense that can't stop anyone. :ohno:

Ironic, coming from an EWU fan.

Actually, Ranger, you're fairly even keel.

Um 38-14. I remember being told after the 2007 Championship game that the refs fucking you over didn't matter when you lose by four scores, amiright?

Oh well. I think most of us knew that this is football and the offense will have an off day at least once (credit to Villanova though). Unfortunately, we have no defense to step up so it didn't matter. Congrats to the Wildcats for shutting down a prolific scoring team, but I'm not too worried about the O heading forward.

As for the D, no adjustments were made to the near-triple option VU played. I was surprised (and upset) that we never went to assignment football and that was complete stupidity by the coaches. The players looked clueless out there...basically just a strategy of chase whoever has the ball.

Oh well, such is football. As evidenced by #1 () and #2 falling, any given Saturday...

ps. I met the great CAAFlagship today he is as awesome and funny in-person as he is here. Also, he's not lying when he says he loves Bud Light.

A holding call kept us from going up 21-3

Despite the horrible defensive play, we were only down 10 pts. The score was 24-14 with ODU driving late in the 3rd.

A fumble gave the ball to Villanova inside our 30 and that pretty much sealed our fate.

Our defense is horrible, giving up several 3rd and longs.

When you give up 45 points a game to CAA opponents, this will happen.

Villanova's QB just ran and ran and ran the ball. No complex game plan needed against our pathetic defense.

Congrats to all the winners today.

Stuffing 30,000 inbred hillbillies into a stadium built to hold 20,000 didn't help...

But c'mon, it's not like Villanova's QB is the 2nd coming of Armanti Edwards, so something must've cost the Mighty Monarchs the game. I'm confident Spanos will get to the bottom of this, probably complete with a 3 hour Youtube video...

The Eages appear to have reason to be cocky this year. Predicting at least semis for them this year.

With the results today, it doesn't look like there's a sure thing in all of FCS (except Albany - Danefan told me so). Very strange year in the Championship Subdivision.

Look at his numbers. 300 passing, 100 rushing last week. AE did that once-- His senior year.

Hats off to Villanova for taking away our offensive strengths and totally dominating our suspect defensive squad. We were outplayed and outcoached, and the better team won today.

Maybe we need to schedule "bye" for next year's homecoming, as we seem to struggle on this particular weekend.
