Funny. I was actually rooting for NDSU in this game early on, as Indiana State would have been one of the teams we'd be fighting for for an at-large bid if we ran the table. Once the Griz lost, I changed my mind and rooted for Indiana State as the game wound down.

Congrats.

Many Bison fans felt the same when NDSU beat Montana in 2003, then it was Minnesota, then the National Championship. Hope Indy St has a Championship in their near future, class program and a class coach.

Can someone let me know how it happened? I really thought NDSU looked like far and away the best team in the FCS as recently as last week... they looked complete in every phase of the game.

Did they just take a week off while simultaneously catching a fired up Indiana State team? Or are there some lingering vulnerabilities that just didn't get focused on before now?

Indiana State's defense played a very good game. They intercepted 3 Bison passes and returned two of them for TDs. The Bison were moving down the field with 4 minutes left and threw the 3rd INT on the 20 of Ind State.

Trees offense got less than 200 total yards and a FG. The difference was the 2 pick 6s.

Bison defense played a good game but not the offense. But you have to give credit to the Ind State defense for the lack of production out of the Bison offense.

Kinda sounds like Eastern's win over Montana State. Montana State basically outscored themself.

Bison offense looks out of wack, when they finally got moving in the 4th, thanks to 2 pass interference calls, they kept throwing the ball! Very unlike th bison to be in position to get a few more yards running the ball, eat clock, and score to at least tie the game. One of Jensens worst games and to me the coaches put him in a position to fail in the end with a ISU D that was playing great.
