I was a little surprised there wasn't a topic for this, so I made one. I am not planning on this being a contest or something like that, just a chance for folks to put their predictions out there. Besides, this is so much more enjoyable than 16 vs. 32 arguments.

2nd Round Winners: (1) NDSU, Wofford, (5) Georgia Southern, (4) Old Dominion, (2) Eastern Washington, Appalachian State, Sam Houston State, (3) Montana State

Quarterfinal Winners: (1) NDSU, (5) Georgia Southern, (2) Eastern Washington, SHSU

Thoughts- I know I went mostly chalk, but it's hard for me to pick road teams to win in the playoffs...the hardest games for me to pick were the Illinois State-App State, GSU-ODU, and the Stony Brook-Villanova matchups...I hate to sound like such a homer, but it's hard for me to envision NDSU losing any of their home games...I have no confidence in Montana State, even if they have a weather advantage over SHSU in the quarterfinals

My dark horse is Sam Houston State....my sleeper pick to go on a nice run (like what NDSU did when they lost at EWU a couple years ago) is Stony Brook, followed by South Dakota State

It's interesting, because if this was a horserace, everyone would refer to Sam Houston State as the "wise guy pick." We'll see if the old track adage applies that "wise guy picks never win."

Only thing I'm wondering about is why you're so confused by Bethune-Cookman over Coastal. BCU has the 4th -best defense statistically according to Sports Network, I saw. Really curious- never saw either of them play.

That's pretty much a homer pick, Trip, but given the squad you have, I'd be disappointed in you if you didn't back them to the hilt. The Monarchs have about as much chance as anybody. In fact, I'd have ODU in the finals if the regions had been organized differently (so as to have ODU meet NDSU in the finals vice the Final Four).
