LU is the last Virgina FCS team we've never played, so I'm really glad they've been added to the schedule!
Game is on October 5.

It's great that this game is going to take place. It is overdue. Is ODU adding additional scholarships next year for the transition or do they intend to keep them at FCS to compete one more year in the playoffs?

This is our last season in the FCS. We'll be a transitional program next year so we'll have extra schollies.
And agreed, this game is much overdue!

I see seven automatic wins on that schedule with a very real possibility of eight or nine wins when it's all said and done. Whoever does your scheduling should get a large bonus, and I don't mean that in a derogatory way. They have done a great job of easing you guys into every new phase of your reentry to football. Kudos.

The beauty of Liberty visiting is the fact that my alcohol will be safe.

Oh they won't play a I-A school at the I-AA level but they will feed of the lower I-AA teams as a I-A team? FUCK that. FUCKING cowards!
That said, I hope you beat the piss out of those fuckers! And I truely, TRUELY mean that.
Personal problem.

Agreed, great schedule. They could run the table if they can beat UNC.

I think ECU will crush us. UNC even more so.

Maybe. I think you will compete in those games. You won't go undefeated, but you will be in a position to compete in every game.

We are fighting for every game we can get next year. 2 more to go. And the FCS teams are the only way to get home games.

We are tickled to be playing you guys. IMO, giving up our game to ECU to get you guys was a winner, regardless of the money guarantee.
Interestingly enough, ODU, which has been a case study in how to properly start a program with an eye to FBS, has added us to the schedule, while Charlotte dropped us (and others). We probably couldn't get a game from GaState, either.

Charlotte is still playing the Citadel on October 11th, 2014.

That isn't what I am hearing, and there are a couple schedules showing that to not be the case.

ODU plays a mostly C*USA schedule in 2014. Next season we are in our first transitional year (starts 7/1/12) so we will be classified as FCS independent. Our future C*USA mates already had their lone FCS opponent scheduled for the most part. ECU was willing to switch out the Citadel for us, so our opener is at DFS. We then scheduled the Bulldogs for a visit to Foreman Field.

Yeah, I just thought of this as well.
Meanwhile, ODU sure did move up fast. What's up?
