True dat, but there are amazing teams in the Sky, too. Certain CAA fans would love to shut the conversation down without any Sky involvement. I'd just like to even the discussion.

The last three years have made it easier.

I see no reason why NDSU doesn't repeat this year.

The SoCon champ could make some noise, but I don't think anybody is strong enough this year to win it.

With App and GSU out, SHSU losing nearly their entire defense, and the CAA still being way down from where they normally are, I think it'll come from either the MVFC or Big Sky.

Elaborating further, if not NDSU, then I think the Big Sky has the most capable teams.

SHSU Defense will be fine, we have a excellent defensive coordinator, Tanner Brock (MLB transfer from TCU) will be solid and whoever lines up in the defensive backfield will not be a downgrade...Anyone watch our secondary get torched by Baylor, Aggies, SFA, Eastern Washington and Central Ark last season...Fritz says this is his best DL at Sam Houston...That might create an even better pass rush...

Offensively, the Bearkats will be just plain SICK!

I will give it the Bison until the Bearkats can figure it out, but The Big Sky needs to figure out Sam Houston.

FAU did it in 2003 (their last year in I-AA) - beat MTSU by 1 in Week 1, then lost to Valdosta State by 28 in Week 2. They still made the semifinals, though.

Hey Einstein....App State hasn't missed the playoffs since 2004.

Oh, and even if Montana and App State came into this game after each going 2-9 last year it would STILL be a bigger game than any game involving SHSU.
