Tought to keep the CAA out of the discussion.SuperHornet wrote:IF NDSU goes down...and I'm not convinced they do...Big Sky....
True dat, but there are amazing teams in the Sky, too. Certain CAA fans would love to shut the conversation down without any Sky involvement. I'd just like to even the discussion.grizzaholic wrote:Tought to keep the CAA out of the discussion.SuperHornet wrote:IF NDSU goes down...and I'm not convinced they do...Big Sky....
The last three years have made it easier.grizzaholic wrote:Tought to keep the CAA out of the discussion.SuperHornet wrote:IF NDSU goes down...and I'm not convinced they do...Big Sky....
Not so fast my friend.uofmman1122 wrote:With App and GSU out, SHSU losing nearly their entire defense, and the CAA still being way down from where they normally are, I think it'll come from either the MVFC or Big Sky.
Elaborating further, if not NDSU, then I think the Big Sky has the most capable teams.
We figured you guys out at halftime. Unfortunately, we dug too deep a hole. Payback's gonna be a bitch.htownbearkat wrote:Not so fast my friend.uofmman1122 wrote:With App and GSU out, SHSU losing nearly their entire defense, and the CAA still being way down from where they normally are, I think it'll come from either the MVFC or Big Sky.

SHSU Defense will be fine, we have a excellent defensive coordinator, Tanner Brock (MLB transfer from TCU) will be solid and whoever lines up in the defensive backfield will not be a downgrade...Anyone watch our secondary get torched by Baylor, Aggies, SFA, Eastern Washington and Central Ark last season...Fritz says this is his best DL at Sam Houston...That might create an even better pass rush...
Offensively, the Bearkats will be just plain SICK!
I will give it the Bison until the Bearkats can figure it out, but The Big Sky needs to figure out Sam Houston.
agreed!Gil Dobie wrote:1. MVFC preseason favorite

5. CAA
Could easily change once the games begin.
Same can be said about UM. It's really only MSU that has no idea what to do.Screamin_Eagle174 wrote:We figured you guys out at halftime. Unfortunately, we dug too deep a hole. Payback's gonna be a bitch.htownbearkat wrote:

BS. MSU knows exactly what to do, and they're quite good at it!Grizalltheway wrote:Same can be said about UM. It's really only MSU that has no idea what to do.Screamin_Eagle174 wrote: We figured you guys out at halftime. Unfortunately, we dug too deep a hole. Payback's gonna be a bitch.
Cal Poly made it very close as well. Like the rest of you, im just ready for this season to get started.Grizalltheway wrote:Same can be said about UM. You must not have heard. The winner of the App St v. Montana game will be crowned supreme champion before getting the trophy handed to them by JBB and Opie. It is going to be an epic weekend.htownbearkat wrote:Cal Poly made it very close as well. Like the rest of you, im just ready for this season to get started.Grizalltheway wrote:

MSU has also mastered the follow-a-FBS-win-with-a-D-II-loss strategy....Screamin_Eagle174 wrote:BS. MSU knows exactly what to do, and they're quite good at it!Grizalltheway wrote:

Step 1: Win Big Sky Co-Champs
Step 2: Meow ferociously.
Step 3: Piss down legs.
Step 4: Tuck tail until next year.
My memory is fading. Could you remind me how many times and when that scenario actually happened for MSU to have mastered it ?SuperHornet wrote: MSU has also mastered the follow-a-FBS-win-with-a-D-II-loss strategy....
It only takes one try to master that feat!Catattack wrote:My memory is fading. Could you remind me how many times and when that scenario actually happened for MSU to have mastered it ?SuperHornet wrote: MSU has also mastered the follow-a-FBS-win-with-a-D-II-loss strategy....
This. I really can't think of another instance in which another FCS team pulled that one off.Get'em_Griz wrote:It only takes one try to master that feat!Catattack wrote:

FAU did it in 2003 (their last year in I-AA) - beat MTSU by 1 in Week 1, then lost to Valdosta State by 28 in Week 2. They still made the semifinals, though.Grizalltheway wrote:This. I really can't think of another instance in which another FCS team pulled that one off.Get'em_Griz wrote:

Right, because a game between two teams that didnt even make the playoffs last year is way huge. Im more into the rematch of the 2012 national semi-final in week 3. {sarc off}grizzaholic wrote:You must not have heard. The winner of the App St v. Hey Einstein....App State hasn't missed the playoffs since 2004.htownbearkat wrote:Right, because a game between two teams that didnt even make the playoffs last year is way huge. Im more into the rematch of the 2012 national semi-final in week 3. {sarc off}grizzaholic wrote:

Oh, and even if Montana and App State came into this game after each going 2-9 last year it would STILL be a bigger game than any game involving SHSU.![]()
