7 home games. 4 road games, 3 of which are potentially against three of the worst teams in the conference....they get every tough game at home (Montana, MSU, EWU, Sac State) with the exception of NAU. They get to play both patsies (ISU/UNC)...SIX of their first SEVEN games at HOME??? OOC they get a gimme in Valpo and a MWFC cellar-dweller in SDSU...BOTH at home...

If they don't go 8-3 with that schedule something is wrong.

Checkmate UND, the Bearkats have 7 home games this year plus SFA at reliant.

i guess this makes up for having only 4 home games last year.

They're a team not named NDSU in the MFVC. By definition they're a cellar-dweller.

UND could make some noise in the BSC this year.

Mollberg is like Roethlisberger...big and strong.

If they get their defense in order they could make the playoffs.

Not an easy schedule.

Yeah, yeah...Montana plays all those teams too...But you get every one except ONE at home...it sets up very nicely for a Sioux playoff run this year...

Montana fans complaining about other teams getting home games. hahaha

Not complaining...just wondering a) WHY they would do it and b) HOW they did it...Every single difficult game (save the NAU game) at home...opening at home with 6 of the first 7...well done to the AD.

What hurts is the schedule. With only 11 games, that DII game hurts and they will probably need to win 8/10 FCS matchups. I don't see much better than a 7 win season even with the favorable structure of the schedule.

I don't see any DII games

I'll bet he's thinking Valpo is D-II...despite their incredible NCAAT run in boys hoops not too long ago...particularly their last-second defeat of #4 seed Ole Miss (wow, was that REALLY fifteen years ago?!? It seems like only a couple). Valpo is actually in the Pioneer League for football, which doesn't mean much (at least not until the expando-playoffs) and the Horizon for hoops (which is actually more important, as various teams out of that league have made noise in the NCAAT recently). In fact, Valpo was 26-8, 13-3 last year in winning the league championship. Valpo IS D-I, even if people can't quite get that through their heads. The only team on this schedule even CLOSE to D-II status (and that only applies for football, as their other programs have been seeing astonishing growth lately) is Northern Colorado....

Exactly. Every difficult game (except one, and that one gets easier every day with their players dropping like flies) is AWAY.

On paper UND's schedule looks ideal but other than Valpo it really is a crap shoot. A lot of tough teams. The SDSU game will be a true measuring stick for the program. If we can get our defense in order then this could be an interesting year.

Also I am very curious why many people are picking Sac St to beat UND? Last year, with our porous defense, we went there and beat them handily 35-13.

Did Sac get some big transfers or something?

Ignore SuperHornet...

It thinks Liberty and Sac St would beat any NCAA team except Montana....who would beat most NFL teams...but none of the women league teams
