21k+ @ Bobcat Stadium on 8/29?

I think not. It seats less than 18k. The only place for temporary bleachers is the N end zone. I've watched the game, there aren't added bleachers in the N end zone. I know there are some stadiums w/ grassy knolls that provide seating without a seat. Bobcat Stadium is not one of them. So I have to call BS on the reported 21k #. I am glad it was a full house, but someone needs to monitor the count. Perhaps there were 3k+ season ticket owners who didn't come. Perhaps those seats if sold are counted twice.

They do put temp seats in. And there are a ton of SRO seats and people in the skyboxes.

I've been to Bobcat Stadium. No & No. Perhaps the skyboxes were SRO, but 3k+? I think not

Someday we may get a stadium as great as Wash/Griz. It has to be one of the best in I-AA. I've been to both. Both are great.

There is maybe....maybe 1k standing room area there. 21k is a straight lie. Maybe all the fans got there at the same time and they called it a tie. So MSU counted them all.

I suspect the attendance #'s were padded to help justify the wasteful $200k expense of bringing Monmouth to town. Hell, the Saints or Mt-Tech would have come for nothing-and perhaps have given a better game. I'm sure either team would fill the house. Now that NCAA has decided to look past Div I in evaluating strength of schedule, perhaps we will see NAIA powerhouses playing UM or MSU. PSU broke the barrier last year when they scheduled Carroll, who I'm sure could beat Monmouth most days. BSC's ISU and a third of the teams in I-AA for that matter.
