I probably should have waited until after this weekend, but I'm bored.........

1. Towson
2. Richmond
3. JMU
4. Maine
5. Delaware
6. Stony Brook
7. W&M
8. Villanova
9. UNH
10. Albany
11. URI

I think that UNH's playoff appearance streak is in jeopardy!

I haven't really had the time to look at all the games so far, but I guess I didn't realize W&M and UNH weren't very good this year. :?

The Tribe was 2-9 last year, so 7th is an improvement. It is way too early to tell if 1-1 is the start of something better or not.

Well at this point......I'm not sure that they belong above the teams ahead of them. We could just continue to rank teams based on pre-season hype and expectations though........

W&M is in the same boat as Maine.......have to prove everything on the field. The one advantage that W&M has is that you are below the Mason/Dixon line so you automatically get more respect because of that.......

I'm not sure Nova deserves the beating they're taking after the Fordham loss. Fordham is a pretty darn good team this year.

And don't forget, they're not really built on the PL mold anymore. They're full scholarship. They should, IMO, be in the CAA for football.

Do we have to wait for them to get to 0-3 or 0-4 before they "take a beating" and drop from the rankings??? I mean they were the pre-seasson pick to win the CAA and are now closing in on "must win" territory in Week 3! Me thinks that some of you buy WAY too much into pre-season hype and reputation.

All I'm saying is that Fordham isn't a bad loss.
Are you doing a power ranking or an accomplishment rating. This early in the season those are two different things.

Nova could very conceivably run the table.

Nova is going to rip Maine a new hole on October 26th, officially putting the Bears out of playoff contention after their 5 game losing streak.

If that was true, shouldn't W&M be 4 and Maine be 7

Not sure why you were picking on Tribefan's comment. He seemed ok with your ranking of the Tribe until they play more games.

You are full of crap if you think UNH is number 9 Jeff.

1. Towson (obvious)
2. Richmond (obvious)
3. Villanova (In top 5)
4. UNH (in top 5 )
5. JMU (3 way order for 5-7 with Maine and Delaware)
6. Maine
7. Delaware
8. W&M ( here on the bottom 4 just need to prove themselves during the season)
9. Stony Brook
10. Albany
11. URI

I have no problem with his opinion, but I don't think we'll really know much until conference play gets underway and we see where everyone stands after one or two conference games and we will see how things stack up. After a down year last year, I think the CAA is back to full strength and several teams should contend for the conference title and I see 4 or 5 playoff berths for the CAA this season. We will have to wait and see who those teams are.

Well UNH with 40 at the half against Colgate. They still have some offense for not being so good this year.

We suck.

This is one of the worst Albany teams in a long time. It just so happens we also signed up for the CAA this year.

We'd be bad in the Pioneer League right now though. Horrendous way to send Coach Ford out.

Based 100% on what has happened weeks 1-4, and zero on pre season rankings:

1. TU
2. UNH
3. W&M- exceeded pre season expectations, will likely fall
4. Maine- same as W&M
5. JMU
6. UD
7. Villanova: might be the 2nd best team in the CAA, despite their injury issues. But they have 2 losses, including a IAA loss, and #2-6 have 1 loss, with 0 I-AA losses. VU will rise unless their injury situation gets worse.
8. UR
9. SBU
10. URI
11. Albany

Again you got JMU too high. Agree 2-8 is anyone's guess.

So Jeff, Delaware drops 3 positions after winning 49-9, coasting for an entire half?

That makes a lot of sense.

It's all good. The real schedule starts Saturday, and Delaware is going to show you why they should be ahead of JMU.

Next week JMU will drop 5 places after getting blown out by UD.

Your comment makes no sense. There are only two teams that are clearly bad at this point.

Take a look at the Big Sky and there are at least five or six teams that look bad already.
