I watched a little of this game. Enough to realize that games played at Washington stadium are not watchable.

Portland State is getting absolutely jobbed by the refs.

If it was something new, I'd watch for further evidence, but it's not, so I'm watching the WSU and Cal.

If by "Wasnington" Stadium you mean that bloody tampon in Cheyney, you would be correct.

I saw 3 calls that were kind of suspect for the Griz, and 2 that were suspect for EWU. You do understand you are dealing with BSC refs...right?

OH, you coming to town in a couple weeks with Kalm?

Well, I'm not going there. There were other plays, other things that happened that we did that hurt us more than referee calls. Time and time again we just do stupid things. When we stop killing ourselves, we are going to be a pretty fine football team. Until then, we just stink up the joint.

That's all the PSU fans were talking about on their board before this game, too. I guess they wanted to lower expectations? :?: It's Portland State; penalties are what they do (they had for 12 for 108).

"Wasted yards" was the story of the game. The Vikings proved they were talented, but with no discipline as usual. PSU gained over 500 yards (UM gained about 580), but turned it over 4 times and failed to score twice inside inside the 5 yard line including a mindless QB sneak decision from the 2. The Griz didn't turn it over & consistently turned opportunities into points.

I didn't know we were playing the Griz today. ;) Anyway, I don't think the blown calls made any difference in the game, I just think the Griz traditionally get a lot of calls in Missoula. Other than that, PSU is generally a talented but undisciplined team. They will win some games but they need to get a lot better with the penalties if they expect to win more than 4 or 5 games.

As much as I want to, I can't argue with this assessment. Pretty much right on. Just sour grapes if I try. :thumb:
