I expect a lot of homerism to come into play here, but we all know what the correct answer is.

Yes. Eastern Illinois at Tennessee State

It's basically for the first playoff spot to be locked up.

What's the OVC's record in the playoffs again? :coffee:

I really do vote for what I think the best game is and this week I happen to think it is the EWU @ UM game.

I'm usually the first to sound that alarm too, but IMO that's irrelevant in this instance. It's a big game for playoff implications. Montana and EWU very well might be the GOTW, but both are in fine shape even with a loss.

You're right, Hen. This site is infamous for Intermountain Bias.

Hell, just mention the word mountains and they go crazy. I realize blood is thinner at altitude, but didn't know skin was too. ;)

EWU would have to walk a fine line with a loss. This game is more important than an OVC playoff spot, this game has seeding implications. None of the other games compare to this top 10 matchup. :twocents:

All I'm saying is that it could be the game of the week, but it's far from a lock. There is once or twice a year when there is a mortal lock, but this isn't one of them.

I knew when I voted Eastern Washington vs. Montana that it wasn't going to be close. Kind of too bad Eastern Illinois vs. Tennessee State is the same week.

But Eastern Washington vs. Montana is really interesting. The Eagles beat Oregon State. I mean that is something else. But they gave up 49 points in losing to Sam Houston State; which lost most of its offensive line from last year and has now scored 13 and 23 points in its two Southland Conference contests. What does it all mean?

I have no idea. Football is weird. But it does make it interesting.

Agreed. EIU has two high quality wins and a close loss to NIU. TSU has a solid offense but also plays really strong D. Perhaps not your normal OVC over- rated front runners this time.

That being said... Montana @ Eastern Washington's Grizzly Stadium is THE gotw.

Odd name for a place where the Eagles haven't won since 2005. :suspicious:

Last time they played in Washington-Grizzly they gave up over 300 yards rushing. :thumb:
