Might as well get this started so there's a place for all the NDSU trolls and MVFC strap-hangers to talk shit.
I'm not sure there's a worse team we could have drawn as the #3 seed, but you gotta play these tough opponents to advance anyway. This should be a good game. SDSU looks to be a really good team, if not a little one-dimensional. I think the Eagles will come to play and take care of business in this one.

SDSU is great if you are a running team, which NAU turned into due to the injury of Poe, but EWU will show them a whole new level of passing they have never seen. EWU blows this one open after the half.

SDSU has no chance.

I like how you think.
Zenner is obviously a great back and I think he'll get plenty of yards. If they can kind of grind it out like PSU did in the first half of our last game then they should have a shot. That said, I think we'll slow him down enough to make them try to make some plays through the air. Ultimately, I think our defense will get enough stops to let Adams and Co. get on the field enough to score some points. If we get a couple early TD's and force them to play catch-up, they could be in for a long night.

Had we not turned the ball over so many times against PSU, it would've been a blowout. I see this game playing out like the PSU one, except less turnovers by EWU, and an easier time of containing their offense since they can't really throw the ball well like PSU could. I would be shocked if we didn't stack the box on 1st and 2nd down, and then bring the house on 3rd and 6+. Big Sky teams might not know what a good defense looks like, but the MVFC is sure going to find out what a good offense looks like.

You guys got this! No way I can talk you out of your week long victory dance! I hope it's not cold there could really work in your guys' favor, what's the elevation like?

Weather, elevation, red turf, color of uniforms, attendance... none of that will matter. It will be EWU's offense scoring at will on SDSU's defense that will decide the game. Jackrabbits won't survive a shootout.

Save your elevation smack for NAU fans or others that were making that argument. Congrats on the win tonight. The Eagles are a very different team than the Lumberjacks.

BSC vs MVFC
Northern Iowa 26 @ Northern Colorado 7
UC Davis 7 @ South Dakota 10
South Dakota 16 @ Northern Arizona 22
Montana 31 @ South Dakota 27
South Dakota St 35 @ North Dakota 28
South Dakota St 26 @ Northern Arizona 7
Very small sample size for this year but MVFC is 4-2 vs BSC (23.3 to 17.5 for avg score) The two wins for the Big Sky were from playoff teams Northern Arizona and Montana with a combined 19-4 record getting 6 and 4 point victory's vs 4-8 South Dakota.

We did not play UNC, UC Davis, or NAU this season, so your transitive properties theory doesn't really work. Try a different one.

None of that shit has ANYTHING to do with sdsu playing on the road in Cheney on the red turf. Right or wrong. Concentrate on 5 wide with a qb that can run. Better yet concentrate on a deuce set with Quincy forte in the back field. Max protect zone to empty in the blink of an eye. Did I mention there's an 87% chance your gonna lose just by playin on the red turf alone.
Better tell zenner to take a shxt before the game so he can run light... Or have a lucky jackrabbit root keychain. <news flash> Sdsu aint ndsu & NAU aint EWU.

Just think about Zach Zenner in an I-formation and why the hell can't your defense stop him while your "5 Wide and QB" stand on the sideline all game. Because we are SDSU and you ain't NDSU.

Meh. Poly, PSU, and even MSU are significantly better rushing attacks than SDSU. We've heard of this strategy before...

Your correct. Nothing to see here, move along. Start prepping for the quarters.

Your = possessive. You're = you are.
For example, you're a dumbass who didn't pay attention in your English classes.

That strategy worked so well against SHSU.

Really? Cause we have never heard the stack the box and you'll stop Zenner strategy before. I hear it's a no-brainer...........good luck I say

Curious, did Zenner go on vacation the week of the North Dakota State game? Am I reading the stat line right? 8 carries, 4 yards? What the hell happened there? 124 total yards? Talk about a bad game to totally flame out.

NDSU just seems to have his number. They held him in check twice last year too.

Hence the aforementioned posts where I have alluded that you (and nobody else is either) NDSU. I noticed on AGS how many of the NDSU fans were blown away by Zenner's speed. Then I realized....they had never seen it before.
This is probably the play that opened up our eyes to just how good this kid might be, his first start as a Sophomore. Granted it was Kansas, but still fun to watch.....

Guys, I favor EWU to win. But I think SDSU is a lot better than Portland State and I think the Missouri Valley was a lot tougher conference than the Big Sky was this year. What will be will be. But I think if you're expecting an EWU blowout of this team you're in for a disappointment.
And I'm even more convinced of that after I watched the way they were able to sack NAU quarterbacks 7 times without blitzing. And sometimes while rushing three. They can bring the heat big time without having to blitz. I didn't know that before watching them last night but now I do.
After watching that I wouldn't even favor EWU trying to run a passing offense against them if they didn't have a mobile quarterback. But they do. And that's what I think is going to save their bacon.
