Looks like Eastern Washington could slide into the opening weekend slot.

Problem for FCS promotion the visitor side that is shown on TV holds 1K and looks terrible on TV
Move the TV people over to the visitor side and show the good side of the stadium...thank you

Too bad Sam Houston State's flash in the pan is probably over.
Sam Houston State is historically a mediocre I-AA/FCS program that had a flash in the pan with one outstanding nucleus of players. It was very convenient, I think, for Fritz that he got to leave before the effects of losing that nucleus of players hit. I don't think the cupboard is real full for Keeler. But we'll see.

If Randleman was still the head coach, I'd be more prone to agree with you that the flash in the pan is probably over. But I think (hope) we've had some good recruiting classes under Fritz. The only way we'll know for sure is over time. Hopefully Keeler will be able to move the program forward and get another Natty title under his belt. Fingers crossed.

The biggest concern I'd have is that he be able to recruit the local area. Sam Houston State is in THE best spot for local talent of any playoff conference FCS team and I've often wondered when someone is going to be able to fully exploit that. Of course I don't think Fritz is a Texas guy and he was doing pretty well so maybe Keeler will be able to as well. Keeler comes off as SO Yankee though. I'm not saying that's bad but I don't if he'll be able to relate to the high school football culture in Texas.
Time will tell.

I am everywhere bitch...
Nobody is going to watch this game. Third week of Aug, people will be drinking beer, fishing, Drinking beer, camping, drinking beer, backpacking, drinking beer, last of the summer vacations, drinking beer, or generally just having a good time. That absolutely doesn't include watching a game at 1Pm on a summer day.

Meh...summer ends in late September...hater. Griz fans will begrudgingly watch without question the best program in the BSC kickoff the college football season for the entire nation on ESPN's flagship, longing for the days when they too were relevant on a national level. They will then make a tampon joke for the 367th time and talk about how it's time to move up.
Eagle envy...
(btw, you guys going to the UW game again?

)

Maybe you took my witty response as hate mail. Nothing further from the truth. Honestly, nobody will be watching this game including a fair amount of your fans. Put the game at 7pm and then at least you have a chance to draw a few hundred TV wise.
No trip West unless there is a Sounders game that weekend unless we have a home game.
No envy either, I leave that up to ewe guys...

Will SHSU rush for over 400 yards again?
SHSU game plan: Rush the ball and keep doing it until EWU stops it.

Not without Flanders, Sincere, and Bell they won't.
EWU might pass for 400 on then though. And by might, I mean will.
