Big South Conference Week #6 predictions/comments:
Season is chugging along like a freakin' train! Week 6 already. Well, here goes, predictions for Week 6:
Monmouth @ Robert Morris
Gardner Webb vs UNC Charlotte
Presbyterian vs Western Carolina
Liberty vs Richmond
Coastal Carolina @ Furman
Charleston Southern vs Bye Week
Nice slate of games this week. I like Monmouth to beat Robert Morris. They seem to have a very nice start to the season going, so they'll get this one. I want to pick Gardner Webb...but I cant. They gave up 10 sacks this week vs Citadel, and UNC Charlottes youngsters are maturing quick, starting to look like the future FBS team that they are. I think UNCC puts it all together this week and gets the win over GW. Im picking PC to pull a win out vs Western Carolina. WCU is much improved, but so is PC, and Im going to pick PC in the mild upset.
I'll take Richmond to beat Liberty. Liberty is having some trouble that they'll probably get worked out by conference play, but not against a team like Richmond. Will be close, but Richmond will pull it out I think.
I think Coastal will blow out defending SoCon champion Furman. Coastal is a legit top 10 playoff contender, and will roll easily.
I think Charleston Southern will get a win over Bye Week. Bye Week has been a dangerous week for the Bucs in the past, with all the bars and nightclubs in downtown Charleston, the beach parties, etc. Players have often found themselves "injured" for a game or two after this week. But, I think Coach Chadwell will keep the team focused and they'll pull through the Bye Week with no suspens.....er, I mean, no "injuries"

I would love to disagree with this but there is a 7 year history that proves otherwise. If we get another co-champion ring this year and no playoffs, it's going to be hard to do this all again next year.SuperHornet wrote:Monmouth

No they didn't. They only had 6 DI wins in a 12 game schedule. Need to stop scheduling the patsy games. Same goes for the Bucs.bucs90 wrote:You guys got screwed last year. LU deserved an at large bid.LynchburgFlamesFan wrote:

Other than your Presby choice, you're spot on. Who ever would of thought that WCU would be the be the #1 team in the SoCon?

Yeah, it was hard picking PC, and as I said, it would be a pretty solid upset. But, I'm throwing PC some of my faith, lets see if they can live up to it!Ibanez wrote:bucs90 wrote:Season is chugging along like a freakin' train! Week 6 already. Well, here goes, predictions for Week 6:

Re: Big South Conference Week #6 predictions/comments:
Yes you called it. PC had to play their backup QB due to injury, WCU was playing theirs in the 2nd half for same reason. Close all the way. PC defense scored two of their three TD's and had four takeaways.
