Great game by the Bison yesterday.

Indiana State only had 96 total yards and 3 points on the 1st team defense.... Their points came off the 2nd and 3rd string.

Either the Valley is way over-rated or the Bison are just that good. Last week's game against SIU and this week's against ISU, both teams were predicted to give the Bison a huge challenge and both had a very good chance of winning. I saw two teams that folded like cheap chairs and neither team was close to winning the game. This Ind State game could have been 50-3. Both were talented teams but teams cannot handle the style of play the Bison use. Ind State was supposedly going to pass all over the Bison....

The Bison could slip up and lose a game or two but if they continue to play like they have the last two weeks, there is no team in the FCS that will touch them this year. This defense is very good. Playing like they have the last two weeks, 16-0 will be their record and a 4-peat.

I see things getting tougher on the road at Missouri St and UNI. South Dakota could pull the upset, but I would expect a Bison win at Vermilion.

Understandable that you can get carried away and post something like this after the last two games and three straight chips. But do you really believe that this year's Bison team is untouchable? EWU, UNH and Nova are all capable of giving NDSU all they can handle this year IMO. This is not last year's Bison. Very, very good, but not like last year's team that was untouchable.

Interesting finish would be to have NDSU, Illinois St, Nova and UNH run the table and see how the seeds fall. NDSU does not play Illinois St and Nova does not play UNH. I think UNH is very under-rated by most people. I have them as #3 behind NDSU and EWU right now.

If they continue to play like they have the last 2 weeks there is no FCS team that will beat them. To beat the Bison you need an outstanding defense to stop the Bison running game and passing game. Get a big lead early and make them play catch up the entire game. But the trouble is the Bison defense is outstanding right now. Better than last year. Now injuries could change that situation but the defense is outstanding in the line, LBer corp and DBs. Teams have trouble running and passing against this defense. Plus the special teams with punt/KO coverage and punting are very good.

Sure one of those teams could beat the Bison but I doubt it. EWU has no defense and the UNH team I saw in the FargoDome last year was way behind the Bison in every phase of the game.

A lot of season left and we'll find out if they are as good as last year. Right now I think they are.

This is spot on. That game last year against UNH just wasn't competitive yet they came into that game and were supposed to be a test for the bison. If that was a test it was an open book test and the Bison had no problems with them then and I doubt they would this year. Nova to me would be more of a question mark. The redbirds look improved but again NDSU is a much better team. Could one of them beat NDSU? Sure but it would take their best effort along with several miscues on NDSU's part to enable that. In other words NDSU will have to beat themselves to not make it 4 straight. I wasn't sold on that earlier this year and I'll agree that this isn't as good a team as we had last year (offensively) but defensively we haven't missed a step.

If we hadn't lost Henderson for the season, I'd say I like our chances in a playoff rematch, but without a guy that demands double coverage like he does I think we'd have trouble moving the ball again. But, the road to Frisco appears to be going through Fargo again, so we'll see what happens.

The Griz team that beat UNI in the playoffs a few years ago would be a team that could challenge the Bison. A more experienced O-line with JJ running and throwing would cause problems for the Bison.

But this Bison defense is just tough as nails and they make outstanding adjustments.

No doubt, we only managed to score 10 on them and it looks like they're improving as the season goes on. O-line will have to improve significantly in order to have a chance in a rematch.

I haven't watched any more Griz games since the Bison game. Has the young O-line improved?

The Griz have a good defense but do they play to the level of their competition?

If there is a rematch with the Bison, IMO, the Griz should put their corners man-to-man and move up the SS to support the run defense. Stopping the Bison running game is key. The Bison have only one very good WR (Vraa) and a couple of the others are inconsistent. Stop the run and make the Bison pass to win it. Plus the Griz offense needs to sustain drives to keep the Griz defense off the field.

I'm looking forward to the game in Missoula next year. The Bison defense loses a lot of studs but the offense will be almost entirely back plus our best O-Lineman will be back. The Bison offense will be much better but the defense will more than likely take a step back.

Sitting at the Bison Game, I had the same thought about the MVFC, I think they are over-rated. In addition, I think the Bison, are getting better on both side of the ball. Not at last years level, but better than they were when the played Weber State and Montana.

The first half defense was either really amazing, ISU offense was bad, or both.

Will they go undefeated again, don't know. There are a handful of teams I want to see them play. When it is just one game, instead of a series, anything can happen.
