Last night the Pirates of Hampton did what my alma mater NC Central tried to they knocked off reigning MEAC Football Kings Bethune Cookman 40-35!!!!!

The B-C 'Kings' stunk the place up with untimely penalties, sacks and lousy defense -- not including a screwed-up punt attempt that led to an 8-yd loss and a Hampton FG.

They got down early, kept shooting themselves in the foot, and likely kissed their playoff hopes away ...

I missed this upset last night kicking myself for missing this great game.The QB from Hampton threw for 4 td passes.

Good.

At 9-3, with wins over no one, BC shouldn't sniff the playoffs.

The crappy MEAC should be a one team league.

Their last playoff win was 99'. Since 2000 MEAC is 0-16 in the playoffs. That is very crappy.

Coastal Carolina is the king of the MEAC. Their 3 toughest tests so far this season.

UNH didn't play NCA&T.

If you are talking about Coastal Carolina...they will have to prove themselves in the playoffs before anyone officially anoints them a top level team this year. Flash in the pan, or solid program for two or three years? We don't know yet. What we do know is that they are untested and simply beating up on their pathetic Big South conference sisters, some lower tier Southern Conference teams, and, of course, the typical MEAC snack (on which they almost choked).

In addition, hanging your hat on the results of one game is silly. Coastal Carolina had to go to 2 OTs to beat a 2-8 Furball team...so by your logic, Furman has a better argument to get into the playoffs than NCA&T.

When you measure the enire body of work, the MEAC is a pile of crap through and through...each and every year. There's your yardstick...and it isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

As for Delaware, we hired some untested guy whose woefully inadequate track record suggests that we don't want to play quality football anymore. But, we'd still be in the race for the MEAC championship. That's how low we've sunk.

If North Carolina A&T ,gets into the playoffs they will have, to come out swinging ,and catch the opposition ,by surprise and throw the ball deep.They have a guy that can stretch ,any defense with,his speed say hello to Desmond Lawrence ,he is a All-America sprinter in the 100M running a school mark of 10.12.Lawrence is a NFL prospect.When I first heard that Bradway was a apart of the Spurrier coaching, tree I thought he was the second coming of Archie Cooley.Cooley was the coach of,Jerry Rice of Mississippi Valley, St.Bradway puts the C into the word conservative and this will not work against non-conference teams.

dal4018 he knows that was a financial decision has nothing to do with "guts".
He lives in the Baton Rouge metro area an calls in to our talk show all the time so he understands better than a lot of Jaguars

Yes I know the real reason behind the SWAC giving up its AQ status it was all about a historical lack of the Benjamin's.I just hope that one day,this league will make a return to playoff status.

Grad_Su there's too much NFL potential in this league that is why I hope the SWAC returns to playoff status and very soon.
