Happened in 2012 and 2008, too.
Something tells me Liberty won't appreciate our boozing prowess as much as App State did.

Except for one thing. For all our talk about the NAU Swoon, that's a bit early for it. Scheduling NAU for Homecoming THAT early is a mistake and a half. Given that there are no drop-down games (which is a positive in and of itself), the NAU game and the BBQ game ought to swap weeks...OR switch the HC designation to the Weber game in its current spot in the schedule. HC is SUPPOSED to be a patsie, and BBQ is as close to a patsie as exists on that particular schedule....

That is the most impressive schedule I've ever seen
The BSC games are dictated, but the OOC is wonderful.
NDSU,CP (OOC), plus FBS bound Liberty
I was impressed by the App St games, next yrs schedule tops everything.
My hats off to the Griz.
More teams should do the same.

You don't pay too much attention then. I don't think we've purposely scheduled a patsie for HC in over 20 yrs. We've had as many power punchers as listless opponents on those dates. It isn't supposed to be a patsie but lesser teams do that to make their fans feel better that day. We're Griz, we don't need help feeling good. It comes naturally.

Starting a week early doesn't leave much of a choice in the matter.

Oh that's right. This yr 8/30 wasn't a week early. Next year 8/29 is a week early.

Making the postseason will be awful tough with that schedule, a new coach, and a new starting QB.
4 of this year's playoff teams plus NAU, Idaho State & Cal Poly.

With the BS doing future-years scheduling (presumably they will do it again next year for another 3-4 years), more teams should schedule non-counters against those 'other' 4 conference mates.
They can drop a DII, and 'collude' amongst themselves for balanced 'home-and-aways' so no particular team gains too much of an advantage.

Great looking schedule. Well worth whatever the prices will be.

NDSU, Cal Poly and @Liberty for non-conference games. This is like the complete opposite of the non-con the Griz had in 2007. (Southern Utah, Fort Lewis, Albany)
