New rules in FCS football?

Will the FCS use the new rules this year like the fbs schools? Like kicking off from the 30 instead of the 35yd line, and going back to the "old" time clock rules.
I like kicking off from the 30 it will give teams much better field position.
I'm also glad they got rid of the time starting at the begining of every possesion, and time starting when kicked or punted instead of starting when the other team touched the ball!
What say you all????

I don't know... I think they are going back to the old time rules. Not sure about everything else but kicking from the 30 would be awesome.

The kicking from the 30 is definitely a rule for the FCS. YSU Stambaugh Stadium has moved the X from the 35 back to the 30 yard line.

Not many touchbacks this year...and better field position should result in more points.
It is going to be interesting to see how coaches adjust their special team's play. Speed, speed, speed will be even more of a premium on both sides during kickoffs.

I think most fans missed this but the NCAA accomplished what they wanted by modifying the rules. Last year, even though there were a number of touchbacks the clock started when the ball was kicked. People didn't like that, but the NCAA wants to keep gametimes down so they say, OK, we'll go back to starting the clock when it's touched by the returning team, but for FCS we're basically going to eliminate the touchback b/c we don't think you can put the ball in the end zone un-windaided from the 30.
