You (other MVC teams) all act like UNI doesn't belong, and yet we just swept the men's sports!


First football (14 conference titles since 1985), then track (10 in a row), then regular season conference title, then the conference tourney title. This is our 4th NCAA tourney in 6 years.

before that you were in Summit League for 10 years... with one conference tournament title...

just saying... NDSU did it in their first year eligible... just saying...

We were in the AMCU for some years before the MVC....


Look at that garbage you call a conference. Look at the history of the Valley, look at the quality of teams in the Valley. The Valley is by far the best mid-major conference in America, has been for years, and will only be better next year with a combined 34 starters back from the teams....that includes 5 from UNI.

we go toe-to-toe with the ACC in terms of quality, but get screwed because the RPI is just a scam to favor the money conferences.

The AMCU might have been the precursor of the Summit but the majority of the teams from that time are now members of the Horizon.

Whether the Valley is by far the best mid-major conference depends on your definition of mid-major. The A-10 is a darn good conference and the MWC and WAC aren't shabby either.

When you look at UNI's # of playoff appearances to YSU, it is certainly in favor of the Panthers, but they got nothing to show for it!

LEAST WE GOT SOMETHING TO SHOW FOR OUR PLAYOFF APPEARANCES.. I'd rather have 4 titles to 0. It goes to show you that UNI is the biggest chokers at the FCS year in and year out since they pretty much make the playoffs every single year.

The prestige of winning a national title lasts for much longer than just a few seasons. Oh, that's right, you wouldn't know...........

I really don't think it does. Delaware, Georgia Southern, Furman, YSU, Florida A&M, Eastern Kentucky all have titles yet all of them struggled pretty bad last year. For many of them, longer than just last year. A title will have prestige for about 5 years to new recruits and the rest of the country. After that 2 entire classes have come through college without winning a title. Within the fan base that title will hold prestige for much longer than that, perfect examples are NDSU with their D2 titles from the 80's they still boast about, GSU and the 6 they brag about, but since 2001 they really have done much of anything. YSU hasn't really had a whole lot to brag about since sweater vest left, Furman, and Florida A&M, well we all know about them.


I'm a Michigan fan, I know all about holding on to titles WAY to long, at this point that 1997 title means nothing. Heck, look at the shambles Miami has been in since 2001. Titles do not mean a thing after 5 years.

There was no bigger game than the SIU/UNI game two years ago. UNI won that game.

You always have a couple of flukes with a new staff and system, especially when they're working with someone else's kids, we'll probably spank you with more authority this year now that they've had a season to adjust....speaking of adjustments, not a bad rebuilding year, picked fifth, finished first, (just the opposite of NDSU ). (Double smack points for last line. Got the Bison while indirectly reminding UNI of their runner-up status.)
