Im gonna say this straight away Im not a fan of how stacked the MVC is. The OVC howeverat least has competition near the lower half of the ranks. Take Eastern Illinois for example. Decent team in a competitive Conference. Didnt do well OOC but went 5-3 IC. And they went to the wire against the OVC champs Jacksonville State. Or Tennesee-Martin. Went 5-3 IC and 1-3 OOC(2 of which were against FBS opposition) Now sure you have your Cellar Dwellers Austin Peay and Murray State but as a whole the conference is solid with a very competitive atmosphere to it.

What do you guys think?

There is a lot more quality than used to be - the rise of EIU and JSU has helped, and EKU getting a little of it's mojo back helped as well.

But, until the OVC starts regularly winning playoff games, it is going to be tough to have much respect

And with the MEAC giving up their autobid, the OVC just moved back down a notch...
