Sneaky guys!

The Mid American Conference has expressed a desire to extended it's footprint westward to include the Minneapolis-STP/Madison/Milwaukee/Fargo markets and has contacted NDSU. Bison AD, Matt Larsen, confirms that these talks, which commenced in February, have been progressing so much so that an agreement to integrate all men's and women's sports with the MAC could be finalized by January, 2016. NDSU would be eligible for a league championship after one probationary season. Larsen went on to say that......

Well, they do have a dependably good Football program.

MAC would be easier than the MVC, CAA or BSC and maybe a couple other FCS conferences.

I'm having difficulty absorbing this news.

I guess it all depends on what's going through the bowels of the conference leadership

Well, they do have a dependably good Football program.

I don't think it's an accident this leak comes shortly after it was shown that their dominance of FCS isn't water tight.

I laughed so hard I filled my Depends.

Even if they go to the MAC, they still won't be swimming in the FBS, ahem, deep end.

Someday, many years from now, a born and bred youngster will be saying "tell us the story again Great grandpa Gil about the time the Bison went 6-5 and beat Coastal Carolina for their 4th straight Meineke Muffler Bowl win!!!

They deserve to move up to the FBS. Great program!
