Both need this game to keep playoff hopes alive.

According to rumors I hear coming from ESPN-West HQ in Bozeman, whichever team scores the most wins. Still working on confirmation on this analysis.

Cats have one loss to a top 10 team. I don't think they need this to keep their playoff hopes alive. :?

Did you brave watching the UM-NAU game last week @ Dukes? I don't know anyone down in the desert who has ROOT Sports but I was in Flagstaff for the day so I watched the game @ Granny's Closet.

I'm driving up this for the MSU game. Jacks have been 5-1 when I attend homecoming or parent's weekends games the last 4 years. I've been better luck than bad...see if that holds up.

NAU's been a much better team at home than on the road the last few years. I think that plays out again. MSU puts up a lot of points but gives up a lot of points as well.

Lumberjacks in a track meet. 44-38.

I have talked to no coach on both teams, and they confirm, whomever scores more points will likely win this game. They also didn't tell me that they expect that at some point in the game, both teams will run the ball, and pass the ball. AGAIN, I haven't confirmed this, but I also did confirm it..

I've never trusted your sources. Next you'll tell us one of them will be wearing home and one away unis and that said unis will fearure a combination of blue and/or various shades of yellow/gold.

I look forward to seeing if these trick plays you speak of are unveiled during the contest.

There's at least a 6.93% chance that the team scoring the most points will lose this game.

There is at least a 50% chance that the team that scores more points will win 100% of the time. :)

Final 49-41 NAU wins
Cats make it interesting at the end but fall short with some Stitt like calls

'Jacks win 49-41.

Souers ties the record for most Big Sky Conference wins.

Coach Souers said the crowd made a big difference in the 1st half of the cat game. The start of the 3rd the place looked empty but I was thinking it was the same as Griz half with tailgaters late getting back into the stadium but they didn't come back. Where did they go? Tailgating? Home?

Thanks, but…

Mitch Strohman deserves the credit, because he said it on the air in the postgame.

Some probably back to tailgating, I'm guessing. The crowd was bigger due to Parent's Weekend and since that makes it such a miserable occasion to try to get a seat at local restaurants for dinner....my guess is most folks left early to eat dinner. Parent's weekend and homecoming are by far the largest crowds of the year. Too bad those size crowds don't show up earlier/later in the season.

And by the way....that was a damned fun game to attend. All kinds of offense. NAU's offensive line was at full strength for the first time this season. Defense faltered a bit in the 4th quarter but they kept MSU to 20 points through 3 quarters. If the Bobcats can scratch some semblance of a defense together, they'll make some noise from here on out.

That felt like old school Big Sky Conference football.
