Big Sky Predictions 11-7

50-19, perfection last week. Here is my attempt this week

UM at ISU---The Bengals took last week off as an extra week to prepare for the Grizzlies who are looking to recover from last week's loss. Two weeks and a home game would be good, but the opponent is still the Grizzlies...UM 35, ISU 27.

NAU at EWU---The Lumberjacks have quietly been playing some good ball lately and hope to knock off another power team in the Eagles, who recently have shown to be rather vulnerable. Still, they do enough to win...EWU 42, NAU 28.

PSU at UNC---The Viking express rolls through the Bear's den this weekend hoping to continue their masterful season. The Bears have surprised some people with their penchant to stay in games, yet they can't seem to win...PSU 35, UNC 22.

SAC at CP---The Hornets had two weeks off to prepare for this game with the Mustangs, who find themselves playing just for pride. The Hornets have been playing for pride for awhile now and have not had great success with it. But the Mustangs have gone through a tough schedule so give them the win...CP 38, SAC 20.

SUU at MSU---The Thunderbirds could really tell the conference that they belong with a strong road win against the Bobcats. It is no secret that the Bobcats defense can't really stop anyone, but the offense seems to come through at home. Good thing it is at home, then...MSU 52, SUU 48.

UCD at WSU---The Wildcats have shown they can play with anyone and even score a win if a team is not ready. The Aggies are still trying to figure things out, but they have had two weeks to prepare for this. But the Wildcats have been tough at home so take them as the home team...WSU 24, UCD 12.

Nothing would make my britches moister than winning in Bozeman this weekend, but every week I fear that SUU is going to stumble and s*** the bed. This could be the one, but I still have hope that they pull it off. I'm going to say 35-28 for SUU on this one.

NAU 27-35 EWUThe weather looks like it'll be pretty good this time

Sac State 17-42 Cal PolyThe brutal stretch is finally over for the 'Stangs

Montana 34-17 Idaho St. — The Griz play a team that isn't run heavy for once

Davis 17-31 WeberWill the Wildcats stop kicking themselves for last week's loss?

Suutah 38-35 Montana St. — This is pretty much a must win for SUU's playoff hopes

Portland St. 37-21 NoCo — Which Bear team will show up? Eh, it doesn't matter…

Going to go with:

-Montana
-EWU
-Cal Poly
-Portland State
-Weber State
-SUU

On my T-Birds going up to play Montana State this game is looking a lot like the one a few years ago when we went on our last playoff run. We're going to need a lot of the same, defense creating turnovers and are offense doing just enough to win. Since the Cats don't have any defense whatsoever to speak of we have a very legitimate shot at winning even if MSU is home.

I haven't seen much of you guys this year, but I've seen enough of MSU to say the T Birds should probably be favored, even on the road.

EWU - Because why not?
CP - 'Stangs win big.
UM - ISU is just awful.
WSU - Toss up, going with the home team.
SUU - Bobcats have no defense, T-Birds should get it done even on the road.
PSU - No magic needed in this one.

:? :? :? :?

They're 5-0 in conference. 5-0! How in the WORLD is this a "must win" for SUU?

I wondered the same thing, but they do close @ PSU and at home against NAU. He must have them losing both.

I don't think they'll get in at 7-4. Their conference schedule isn't the best. I think they'll beat NAU, but I doubt they'll beat PSU. If they lose to PSU, they probably need to win the other two.

EWU by 2 TDs.

UM by 4 TDs.

WSU by 3 TDs.

MSU - but it's a toss-up, as they and SUU are fairly equal.

PSU by 4 TDs.

Sac vs. CP - My heart says Sac by 14. My head says CP by 10. We'll see who wins out....

UM (-10) at ISU: Maybe a little closer than some might think.

NAU at EWU (-7): The EWU offense is due to get back on track. If the weather is decent, I think that happens this weekend.

PSU - 28 at UNC: Won't be close.

SAC at CP (-21): CP is considerably better than their record indicates.

SUU (-10) at MSU: Should be a close game with MSU playing at home. That said, MSU's defense still probably loses the game for them.

UCD at WSU (-14): WSU is pretty stout all around. They shouldn't have any problems with Davis.

I get scared when people think we will win at Northern Colorado in a rout. This is a Trap game with a capital "T", having gone through a tough 4 game stretch and have a tough 2 game set to finish. Also, the last time the Bears played at home, they gave EWU all they could handle and more. I'm not seeing a rout here, I'm seeing a tough game that PSU needs to be ready and up for.

Not saying we played lights out in that one, but the EWU-UNC game shouldn't have been anywhere near as close as it ended up being. EWU had a sizable lead during the final minutes of the game, but gave up back to back TD's on special teams, an onside kick, and then a freak deflection off a pass that went for a long gainer for UNC. I have never seen a stranger finish to a game, and that includes the weird, come from behind win against Montana in 2012.

PSU will win going away.

You fucker. WHY WHY WHY did you have to bring up that 2012 game????? I cannot remember a game in the past 20 years where I've had the air sucked out of the room so fast as that game turned...

Same reason you fuckers bring up the 2007 game in Missoula and the 4th and a mile Bagley catch. :ohno:

Well, have to say I was right about this game. UNC came out and took it to us from the start. We had a shot at stealing it, but we were not ready to play. Great game to the Bears, they deserved the win. :thumb:

I saw the last 5 mins or so. Watched PSU score the go ahead TD. Watched them destroy UNC QB by bringing pressure on their 2nd to last possession. Saw PSU sit on their lead and not make a strong effort (IMO) to get a 1st down to seal the game. Then saw PSU shit the bed by going prevent on UNC last (and game winning) possession. PSU had this game won, then shat it down their leg. Tough loss against a much improved UNC team.

Actually the game was done in the first quarter. The Bears jumped on us with two quick scores in the first quarter and we were battling uphill from there. Had we stopped them on that last drive somehow, this would have been a "great win, let's get on the bus" type game. But the better team won today, and that wasn't us.

Huh? PSU was up 32-28 with under 5 to play. Got a stop because the defense brought pressure. That should have been the game right there. Offense then goes into a shell and defense goes into prevent with about 2 minutes to play. Bed was shat in the final minutes. PSU had that game.
