I'm afraid we'll see Jamey Chadwell leaving Charleston Southern for a higher profile job. Amazing 3 year run. Hope I'm wrong...but...can't last much longer. I'd be thrilled to get 2 more years from him.

Being a good coordinator doesn't necessarily mean you'd be a good head coach, but I'd be tempted to take the chance and promote Cramsey to head coach at MSU.

Yeah. It's purely speculation/rumor at this point. But, there's been some talk about the possibility that if he doesn't leave this year, he'll be gone by the time our FBS transition is complete.

UW assistant Jeff Choate introduced as head coach at Montana State

http://www.seattletimes.com/sports/uw-h ... ana-state/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Winning will be a priority for Jeff Choate at Montana State. It won’t be the only one for the first-time head coach.

“The beautiful thing about coaching at the FCS level is there is some perspective,” Choate said at his introductory news conference in Bozeman. “At Montana State we can really keep the student first. When they look back in 15 years, it’s not going to be the things they did … the thing they’ll remember is who they become as a result of this experience.”
Choate spent the past two seasons as the Huskies’ defensive line coach and special teams coordinator.

UW coach Chris Petersen on Sunday said he was thrilled for Choate, who will continue to coach the Huskies through the Dec. 26 Heart of Dallas Bowl.

Looks like Willie Fritz to Tulane is a done deal.

Expect Jamey Chadwell and Mike Houston at the Charleston schools to both get interviews. Maybe Brian Bohannon at Kennesaw as well.

Western Illinois' coach Nielson switches to South Dakota

The reigning coach of the year in the Missouri Valley Football Conference has been named the new head coach at the University of South Dakota.

Western Illinois coach Bob Nielson will succeed Joe Glenn, who has retired from USD after four seasons. USD planned a Tuesday afternoon news conference to announce Nielson's hiring.

The 56-year-old Neilson has compiled a 186-80-1 record in 23 seasons as a head coach. He's been at Western Illinois the last three seasons. Before that he coached Ripon College, Wartburg College, Wisconsin-Eau Claire and Minnesota Duluth. He led Minnesota Duluth to NCAA Division II national championships in 2008 and 2010, and he was voted Division II coach of the year following both seasons.
