Take away the Samford game and they were only about 20 points off from a SoCon title. They also beat Chatty at the end of the season. They have 22 starters back. They have lost 3 in a row to us by a grand total of 5 points.

It isnt a stretch to say they are a playoff contender this year.

Mercer is good. They're just new. Same with Kennesaw State. Two new FCS teams last year both in GA, which is insanely flooded with D1 talent. Doesn't take long to get good there. Mercer and Kennesaw are surprisingly good for young programs.
