Kevin Tresolini first put it out on MOnday, and now seems to have more steam. If true, good move, bad move for UD? For Rocco?

Personally I think it is a good move for both. UD has more upside than UR in the long run, Rocco brings a proven record in FCS and particularly in the CAA........and Rocco will bring a winning mentality back to the Hens and maybe even....gasp.....a QB......

If it's step one in UD's plan to move to FBS then I'm all for it.

ANYTHING is better than Brock and his unimaginative staff.

Fire them all...every single one of them.

I haven't seen a staff that dumbed down everything, dumbed it down again...and tripled down on the dumbness by keeping it that way after their coach was fired for dumbing it down in the first place.

Of course, they will always be Hens, so I wish them well.

Brock can take over for Talley, DDC can go back to Maine, Devine can go to Rhode Island since they don't like the forward pass anyway, and Weaver can go to JMU.

It doesn't excite me, but neither do any of the other names being bandled about. (CCU's coach, Chatty's coach, Mickey Matthews, etc).

What has Rocco ever done except be pretty good?

I want to be great. Championships are all that matters, bottom line.

Well you are not going to find a championsip coach in FCS who is available......ummmmm......they are busy winning championships. If championships are all that matters, then you have to go with a D2 or 3 HC. But rocco had Richmond finish 3rd in the nation last year. He won or tied for 4 conference championships at Liberty and tied for the CAA 2 times. He is in a third straight playoffs and won his first round game with his 3rd string QB who has redshirted all year only to come in and throw for 314 yards and a TD. He is more than pretty good. Is he the flashy hire, no, but he is a proven winner.

I guess that with the program on the brink, you can't really afford to gamble on a hot prospect from D3 like they got in Keeler. So, they're inclined to go with a safe pick; a guy who has a winning record and has won a few playoff games. I get that part of it.

Like Cluck said, anything will be better than Brock. That guy had nothing on his resume that showed "winner".

We was seen on campus in a suit. Granted, it was on Villanova game day. I don't know how serious it was.

Hey back in the day I was very well aware of who Tubby Raymond and Roy Kidd were. I knew who K.C. Keeler was when he was at Delaware. I knew who Jerry Moore was at Appalachian State. I knew who Paul Johnson was when he was at Georgia Southern and I sure as heck knew who Erk Russell was. I knew who Jim Tressel was when he was at Youngstown State. Heck I knew who Jack Cosgrove was at Maine.

But this Rocco guy didn't ring a bell.
