I'm hoping the Dukes are the team to finally end the streak. They looked great on both sides of the ball and on special teams this weekend. It' s going to take a similar performance to dethrone those Bizen.

I think everyone would love NDSU to be dethroned, but it's always harder to actually make it happen, especially in their own dome. JMU is very good, but so far they've only beaten a conference foe and a SHSU team that everyone agrees showed the weakness of the Southland. This is clearly a step up now. JMU could do it, but it's going to take a perfect game to knock the champs out at home.

Some good story lines forming here. JMU was the first team NDSU beat in it's playoff run, will JMU be the team to end the run?

If NDSU wins, they may play the last team to beat them in the playoffs, EWU.\

Last season Jacksonville St beat Sam Houston 62-10 in the semi-final, next game NDSU
This season James Madison beat Sam Houston 65-7 in the quarter-final, next game NDSU

7 PM ECB Time ESPN2.

NDSU 83-6 over the last 6 seasons
-22 straight playoff wins
-18 straight at home (never have lost a home playoff game since moving up from Div II a decade ago)
-6 straight over 1A
-5 straight national titles.
As already mentioned, ironically that streak of 22 straight playoff wins started with JMU in the 2nd round in 2011, 26-14. This JMU team is MUCH better than that 2011 team which finished the regular season 7-4 & ended the season 8-5.

3rd time JMU has made it as far as the semis. 2004 won NC, 2008 lost in semis to Montana. I think this JMU team is hands down better than 2008, and even better than the 04' NC team, so at least JMU has a chance..

I was one of the about 60 JMU fans there in 2011 for the round of 16 game. After missing 3 straight games in Sept (CCSU, @ UNC, @ Maine) I have made the last 9 straight. Sad to say I won't be able to make Fargo. :wall: If I had to do it all over again I'd have made sure I had this long weekend off.

If JMU happens to pull the upset I'll make Frisco..

JMU Duke Club has a charter flight flying up on Fri. Apparently they had to get 100 members to buy in.
Image

As of yesterday JMU had sold to Duke Club members over 300 of their NCAA mandated allotment of 500 tickets. Whatever is unsold JMU atheltic department is apparently going to purchase & distribute. So should see upwards of 500 JMU fans at the game..

2016 NDSU - One team EWU (44) put up more than 21 points on the Bison defense all season, including the current number 21 team in the FBS Iowa
2015 NDSU - One team Montana (38) put up more than 29 points on the Bison defense all season
2014 NDSU - One team Coastal Carolina (32) put up more than 23 points on the Bison defense all season, including FBS Iowa St.
2013 NDSU - One team Missouri St (26) put up more than 23 points on the Bison defense all season, including FBS Kansas St
2012 NDSU - One team Northern Iowa (21) put up more than 20 points on the Bison defense all season including FBS Colorado St
2011 NDSU - One team Youngstown St (27) put up more than 24 points on the Bison defense all season including FBS Minnesota

Playoff Points allowed
2016 - 17 in 2 games - 8.5 points per game
2015 - 36 in 4 games - 8 points per game
2014 - 86 in 4 games - 21.5 points per game
2013 - 42 in 4 games - 10.5 points per game
2012 - 43 in 4 games - 10.75 points per game
2011 - 27 in 4 games - 6.75 points per game

11.409 points per game (avg) on the current Bison run

JMU can run their mouths all they want but facts are facts, when NDSU scores 21 points against you guys and they will, this game is over. Only way you have a chance to win is if NDSU turns the ball over 4+ times and then it might be a closer game......NDSU would still win.

I am betting anyone that JMU doesnt score more than 24 and I am being really ****ing generous with that. More likely 14-17ish and that would be surprising if its that high

Good post. :thumb: I think it was the 2014 game which CCU could have narrowed the score if it weren't for 1 thing: Bad coaching. Our coaches was calling plays , such as going for the 2 PT conversions. and not kicking FGs. Stupid. And that coach was fired a day or so following the game. We had 1 really bad call, the refs called a catch to be Out of Bounds when the replay showed the receiver to be in bounds, but that wouldn't have likely affected the score. (Even the Commentators said the Officials screwed that call).

Given that I didn't see Army beating Navy, KC beating Oakland, or NYG beating Dallas this weekend...you guys MIGHT be right.

South Dakota scored 21 on them. JMU should be able to do that at least.
