PSU was obviously a bad loss.
WIU was questionable since they're 5-5.
Davis & NoDak were bad losses since they were blowouts—any blowout loss to an FCS team is a bad loss.

UNI, WIU and ISUB. Possibly 2 could finish 6-4 against FCS competition.
UNI doesn't deserve to be in the the playoffs.

A close road loss to a .500 Valley team is not a bad road loss. I agree with the others though.

They are just as worthy as other teams that are going to make the playoffs. They did beat a team that is going to be seeded, and gave NDSU a good game.

We hear this argument made for UNI every year. At some point you either need to win enough games or stfu. :coffee:

6 wins is all that's required, the committee decides from there. If they win this weekend, they are 6-4 against FCS teams, 5-3 in the Valley, same as WIU if they win. ISUB would be 6-3 against FCS teams, and 5-3 in the MVFC, if they win.

Look at what PSU has done since they beat the Griz. They beat UNC and Suck State badly, almost beat ISU and led UND into the 4th before giving up 10 and losing 17-10. I'm not saying they're world beaters, but they appear to have turned some kind of a corner where they're not the POS team we all thought them to be.

No, but they're still 4-6. That makes them a bad loss by playoff-resume standards, especially since it was in Missoula.

Two things about SDSU - Farley seems to have their number and they are over-rated every year.

UNI does not belong in the playoffs.

Who is talking about seeds? If you don't think the committee chooses a team or two for the at-larges based on who the team is rather than just current season merit, you haven't been paying attention.
Poor choice of words. Not seeds but at-larges. But yeah. They should care about who deserves not who has the bigger name.

While there is a definite difference between "POS" and mid pack, it is still a home loss to a team that is not going to be in the playoffs (and no big wins on their resume other than that Montana win).

I think this is who is most likely already in...

Big Sky (4)
Weber State (8-2)
Eastern Washington (8-2)
UC Davis (8-2)
Montana (6-4) v MSU (6-4) winner in, loser out

Big South (1)
Kennesaw State (9-1)

CAA (4)
Maine (7-3) v Elon (6-3) winner lock, loser bubble
Delaware (7-3)
JMU (7-3) v Towson (7-3) winner lock, loser bubble
Stony Brook (7-3)

MEAC (1)
Assuming FAMU beats Bethune this week, NCAT (8-2) will get a bid as #2 in conference

MVFC (2)
NDSU (10-0)
SDSU (7-2)

NEC (1)
Too lazy to see who will win this one

OVC (2)
Jacksonville State (8-2)
SEMO (7-3)

Patriot (1)
Colgate (9-0)

Pioneer (1)
San Diego

Southern (2)
ETSU (8-2)
Wofford (7-3)

Southland (2)
Nicholls (7-3)
McNeese (6-4) v Lamar (6-4) winner in

So that leaves three spots. Like I said, no way the MVFC only gets two, so that means at least one of: UNI (5-5), WIU (5-5) or Indiana St (6-4) gets in. IF Idaho St (6-4) beats Weber, they're in. Furman with a win over Mercer most likely makes it. Not sure I'm really seeing any other bubble teams, did I miss anyone?

Is that different from previous? I assumed all polls entered into their thinking.

Yes, the last few years they’ve only used their internal SRS which is also garbage.

You're a little late to the party. It's been pointed out that they can actually get the AQ at 6-5.

IF that were to happen, the Southland should lose their AQ.

UIW has lost games by 27, 32 and 42 points this year and they're about to lose by 50+ this week.
