Kennesaw is better than Maine. Maine's defense is quite good, but their offense is below average even with Chris Ferguson healthy.

I think JMU should've been seeded ahead of Maine.

Kennesaw and Maine are close. KSU scored 20, 24, and 24 against the only teams they played with a pulse - GSU, Samford (not exactly a defensive juggernaut), and JSU. I'm guessing Maine's defense is every bit as good as JSU's and I can see their offense putting up enough points to win.

I agree that JMU should have been seeded ahead of the Black Bears.

I may have to go to the game now because it's a team I've never seen and will probably never see again.

I don't know why KSU gets such a bad rap... they are VERY good. They gas defenses in the 3rd quarter and its all downhill from there.

They may well be a semifinal team

Not when they’re playing decent competition. They should be a 6-8 seed.

89Hen wrote:I think this is who is most likely already in...

Big Sky (4)
Weber State (8-2)
Eastern Washington (8-2)
UC Davis (8-2)
Montana (6-4) v MSU (6-4) winner in, loser out

Big South (1)
Kennesaw State (9-1)

CAA (4)
Maine (7-3) v Elon (6-3) winner lock, loser bubble
Delaware (7-3)
JMU (7-3) v Towson (7-3) winner lock, loser bubble
Stony Brook (7-3)

MEAC (1) FAMU lost, so my qualifier kicked in
Assuming FAMU beats Bethune this week, NCAT (8-2) will get a bid as #2 in conference

MVFC (2)
NDSU (10-0)
SDSU (7-2)

NEC (1)
Too lazy to see who will win this one

OVC (2)
Jacksonville State (8-2)
SEMO (7-3)

Patriot (1)
Colgate (9-0)

Pioneer (1)
San Diego

Southern (2)
ETSU (8-2)
Wofford (7-3)

Southland (2)
Nicholls (7-3)
McNeese (6-4) v Lamar (6-4) winner in

So that leaves three spots. Like I said, no way the MVFC only gets two, so that means at least one of: UNI (5-5), WIU (5-5) or Indiana St (6-4) gets in. IF Idaho St (6-4) beats Weber, they're in. Furman with a win over Mercer most likely makes it. Not sure I'm really seeing any other bubble teams, did I miss anyone?
Only real miss was Furman and I can't believe anyone had Incarnate Word in with anything other than the AQ

UIW was one of the last 3 in, Furman was not one of the first 3 out.

UNI didn't deserve to be in much less hosting. They're playing with house money at this point.

Correct, but did you have UIW getting in the field with an at-large? The Selection Show guy certainly asked about Furman. I'm guessing if we did a poll over Furman v UIW before the show, FU would have had more votes.

UNI didn't deserve to be in much less hosting. They're playing with house money at this point.
I don't see anyone better than they are sitting at home. One issue is two of their wins over ranked teams ended up not looking as good (Illinois St and USD). Certainly the SDSU win was very big.

I would pick Furman to win, but the committee probably took UIW because they were 6-2 vs FCS, beating 4 teams with winning records and losing to 2 teams with winning records, and yes Furman probably would have won those games. Furman was 6-3 vs FCS. Committee doesn't surprise me, just makes me look at why.

I’ll trade you one incarnate word for a Duequesne and SEMO. This is what happens when your conference gets three seeds on all the same side. We’ll face two conference champs, two with FBS wins, and two we already played.

EWU will be averaging 50-60 points going into the Semifinal game, otherwise I over estimated how good you are.
