Do you think it's possible that FBS teams do not want to play North Dakota State?
That's well known old news. 5 seasons 15-19 they only had Iowa in 2016. They've won 6 straight vs I--A I think Like Gil pointed out, NDSU has PAC12 3 of the 5 seasons 2020-2024.

Its already been happening with JMU.
2019 WVU (550k payday)
2020 Tarholes (500k payday, last game)
2021 none
2022 Louisville (600k payday, most ever for JMU)
2023 none
2024 none
2025 Tarholes (500k payday, last game)

JMU already has in the last decade:
-2009 OT loss @ Maryland
-2010 W @ #12 VT
-2015 W @ SMU
-2017 W @ ECU (destroyed)
-2018 went to to toe with a 9 win NC State team (was 17-13 until late 4th when NC State scored after a busted play).
If JMU pulls the upset over WVU (possibility as WV loses a ton, has new HC), those years without a I-A opponent will be very difficult, if not impossible to fill, both because I-As don't want to risk a loss, and at this point 2020s JMU won't go for less than close to 500k. In state won't happen- UVA has refused to the early 80s after JMU last beat them, VT won't anymore. Most regionals won't either- Pitt is one for example that reportedly has said no.

I'm predicting Sac at 8-4 with that schedule, and given that one of those wins is a D-II, that places us squarely on a busted bubble.

I see losses to both FBSs, EWU, and the Griz. The kitties are a wildcard in there, as is BBQ.

Interesting that Idaho has them hosting Sacramento State on 11-16.

That is the only source I have seen that has us on their schedule next season. FBSchedules has that week blank for them:

Interesting since the BSC office is the one setting conference schedules.

I'll take a 5-7 record in 2019 in a heartbeat.

As long as you guys are in Portland (Hillsboro) that weekend, I'm fine with it. :D

Oof. You’ve been in this scenario before. Glad we avoided it. Scheduling out West is tough unless you draw 15,000+ pregame.

Seems like Eastern Oregon was a last minute, Plan B type of move. Rumor has it that we were trying to get North Dakota for that day, but they did not want to come to Portland and we could not "entice" them enough.

Simon Fraser is in BC but they do play American football. They are NCAA Division II and play in the GNAC with C Washington, W Oregon and Azusa.

Simon Fraser was awful last year but that is still cool.

I know that, but most people don't. Most people seem to think that anything in Canada plays by Canadian rules...which they can't understand for some reason. Heck, some Canadian rules are starting to gain traction down here, like the punt "no yards" halo rule and the Canadian one-yard spacing between the O-Line and D-Line....

Good lord there's a lotta patsies on there.... :coffee: :coffee:
:? JMU has OOC:
-@ a decent P5
-@ a decent So-Con program
-2 home cupcakes

Then 8 games in the CAA, which is a top 3 conference. 3 of those 8 are vs playoff teams from last year, 2 of them back to back on the road.

Can't believe I am sticking up for the griz...And this will be the LAST TIME EVER!!!...but griz play 4 playoff teams next year, have a P5 school, and no D2 games at all. Griz schedule seems harder in my opinion.

Yep. Even if the Griz are better, I doubt it'll show up in the record. They at least dodged one bullet, though, in that Idaho State wasn't able to land Gresch Jensen.
