The Griz look confused...
How many times can a team run a receiver tunnel screen and average 28 yards...

The Griz were obviously a bit better in the second half, but North Alabama was so inept that I'm not sure what conclusions to draw.

The Southland's struggles with the Lone Star Conference continue…

Tarleton State beat SFA 37-26
Midwestern State beat Northwestern State 33-7  :? :ohno:

NAU lost to Arizona 65-41. It wasn't ever really a game, though.

Yes, these are flagship programs that excite people. No offense to schools that need to color their turf to try to get 10k spectators.

It hurts kalmie because there's a lot of truth to that (both the UD/Montana part as well as the coloring the turf part).

Aside from having some occasional fun with myopic UD and UM fans, I do like a mix of traditional powers and upstarts. I've long said the Big Sky is better when Montana is having success. They set the gold standard and other programs like MSU and Weber are upping their facilities game.

EWU is the obvious outlier having success despite the lack of institutional and fan support. The little train that could is a compelling story. The red turf has done nothing but help in regards to recruiting and branding. It was a stroke of genius and the hatred from other fanbases is well known and totally embraced.

The good news, it has to be replaced before the start of next season. The track will mostly likely be removed while it's being done as a part of a larger $24 million dollar capital campaign that was just approved by the BoT. I'm surprised Polson has posted about this yet as we know our history of actually breaking ground but I know for a fact that the turf is a done deal and that the BoT wouldn't have approved the rest without some large existing lead pipe lock commitments.

And yes...it will still be red.

With temps for the Montana games and homecoming but the capacity stays the same for now. It’s also designed to expand permanent seating in the north end zone and a football ops center in the south. They’re expanding luxury suites and loge seating (which kalm’s group will be occupying) and upgrading to actual seat backs vs bleachers ( you don’t know how bad it’s been) stadium wide.

Increased revenue through higher ticket prices and demand through limited availability (the Gonzaga idea). We shall see if it works.

That would be a great soccer stadium. You could let people set up picnics in the empty end zones.

Great idea! At one point there was talk of red turfing the women’s soccer field. I wonder if they’ll move to the new Roos since they play on Sundays.

That is a nice design on the stadium, and can be expanded if ever needed.

Weird game. Up 31-0 and then our #1 RB shatters his leg. 30 minutes to get him off the field (he was in surgery before the game was over) and then we went flat. Committed a bunch of stupid penalties which led to 21 points.

Lindenwood looked like a decent DII but our secondary is young and did not play well. We’ll be in some shoot outs this season against better opponents.

It’s looking like that. It’s a huge game for both teams.
