I don't think that it is. UNI was higher rated in both total and scoring defense despite playing in a tougher conference.

The main thing, though, is Weber State's offense. It got 113 yards. That's less than UNI got playing against JMU. Not by much (just one yard). But less. They had a +5 advantage in the giveaway/takeaway stat and won by 7 points.

If I"m a JMU fan I'm thinking the better of the two potential opponents did not win.

Not a tougher conference this year by almost any metric and it’s certainly not a tougher offensive conference. Weber state faced better offenses than UNI has.

If I'm a JMU fan I'm happy that Weber won that game. I'm thinking the better team lost due to turnovers.

A big reason those turnovers happened, though, is that Weber was able to consistently get pressure while rushing just 3 or 4.

To be fair, your OL could be vastly improved from last year and still not good.

I agree that Montana was the slightly better team but the BSC top 4 were like that all year. Still, the Wildcats held two pretty good FBS opponents to low points. Weber’s pass D is what JMU May exploit.

This. Weber schemed well on D and Snead played poorly. Feel for the kid, but many teams have had success in those conditions.
