As a long-time follower of the Big Fluff, I have no choice but to pull for the two road teams this weekend.

There would be more of a chance for an upset if Montana hadn't flipping turned it over 5 times in order to find a way to lose to Weber State.

WSU
-#8 QB Jake Constatine: Not one of 7 QBs named All Big Sky. 194 of 313, 62%, 13 TDs/10 INT.

Big Sky, with 13 teams, named around 128 players 1st, 2nd, 3rd Team All Big Sky and Honorable mention, so an avg of almost 10 players per team.
https://bigskyconf.com/news/2019/11/26/ ... unced.aspx

14 WSU players named All Big Sky, 4 named All American.

Offense
1st team All BS
-#20 rSo RB Josh Davis. 170 carries, 1075 yds, 6.3 ypc, 11 TDs, 77 ypg. *HIP INJURY VS MONTANA. STATUS?
-#34 rJr FB Clay Moss
-#75 rJr OL Ty Whitworth
3rd Team All BS

Defense
1st team All BS

2nd team All BS
-#9 Sr DE Adam Rodriguez (AA 3rd team HERO)
-#53 Sr OLB Auston Tesch
-#5 Fr DB Eddie Heckard
3rd Team All BS
-#44 rSo DE George Tarlas
-#7 Jr DB Preston Smith

Special Teams 2nd Team All BS
-#47 Jr K Trey Tuttle (AA 2nd team HERO).
-#41 Sr P Doug Lloyd (Sr). Like JMU's punter, another Australian.

Weber has some old players, although not as many 25-26 year olds as 2 years ago when JMU played them. Among their 14 named All BS:
-Five 24 yr olds. 3 other 24-26 year olds on the 2 deep. All apparently due to LDS missions.
-Not many brothers. I only see 3.

Weber's been winning playoff games the same way UNI was: by not doing much of anything on offense. The Wildcat O has only averaged 14.5 ppg and exactly 200 ypg in two postseason games. I see this contest playing out much the same way last week's JMU/UNI game did. Weber might get a cheap TD off a blocked punt or something, but the Dukes are going to be doing a bit more of the "non-cheap" scoring.

Weather looking good for the 6:30 PM ECB kickoff. Harrisoburg Accuweather hourly forecast less than 18 hrs out:
6 PM: 36 degrees, Mostly clear, winds South 5 mph, gust 6 mph, Precip 0%
7 PM: 33 degrees, Mostly clear, Precip 0%
8 PM: 30 degrees, Mostly clear, Precip 0%
9 PM: 29 degrees, Mostly clear, Precip 0%
10 PM: 28 degrees, Mostly clear, Precip 0%

A LOT better than last weeks Fri night mid 30s/rain, announced attendance under 8.5k. Sat night with no rain, but students gone should equal about 14-15k is my guess.

2017 semis vs SDSU had a playoff record 16,528, but that was the weekend after students finished exams. JMU students finished exams a week ago. Not as good as close to 23k avg regular season, but unlike the playoffs, those #s are inflated.

I predicted 31 to 10 last week after the line had climbed to -19.5.. I'll never predict a shut out. Even with Weber's Davis possibly limited, odds are very high they will score at least 1 TD, even with a struggling offense. They have a good defense & special teams. Too many ways to score a score a TD- on a busted or trick play, defense, special teams..

JMU and Weber both have excellent FG kickers (Weber's is 23-28, JMU's is 22-28 (was 22-26, but missed last 2 vs UNI, from 47, which would have been a carerr long, and from 36. Before that had hit 10 straight).

So I got to go with Weber scoring a minimum 10 points. I was gonna go with JMU 27, Weber 10, but Mvemjsumpx already picked that score. JMU has only not covered the spread 2 times this season:
-in their OT win @ SBU (which was a 3rd straight road game after 2 Sept hot ones with 5 JMU turnovers, by far their worst game of the season
-last week vs UNI.
Right now the line has climbed to JMU-16.5 (I forgot what it opened with). I'll go with:
JMU 27, Weber 13.
