Yeah I heard that news on Baton Rouge sports talk radio when I was riding around in my truck yesterday. Actually I think it's a good hire for LSU. I heard a former LSU and NFL defensive player...can't remember the name but it was one I'd heard a lot...talking about how Pellini challenged as well as prepared the players mentally. Also recounted a story of a time when he drew a blitz up with his finger in the dirt during a game then it worked. The player said he got a sack on the play.

Pellini may not have had an outstanding head coaching run. But indications are he's a heck of a defensive coordinator. And now he'll be making $2 million per year to do it. Not a bad gig.

Indications are he's already won a national championship at LSU as a defensive coordinator.

So yeah.

His worst year of his 7 seasons at Nebraska was 9-4. I'd say that's pretty good. His problem was that Nebraska fans are dumber than hell.
