FCS vs. FBS

A question to all of you. We all remember the games last year when FCS teams shocked the world by beating some FBS teams, Montana State over Colorado is the first that comes to my mind.
So the question is any predictions on which FCS teams have a chance to beat their FBS opponents this year?
I would give Texas State a chance against Baylor only because the Bobcats have always played them close and Baylor still has some offensive question marks going into the season. Unfortunately Texas State plays Baylor the third game of the season so those offensive questions may be answered by then The good thing about playing them the third game however is that the Cats have both new offensive and defensive schemes so that will give them two games, the first against a top tier FCS team in Cal Poly which should be one of the best FCS games of the year, to get those new schemes worked out.

I think SIU will do it again against Northern Illinois. They have lost five straight to the Huskies since last beating them in 1979, but four of those losses came by five points or less. Beating Indiana last year showed them they can do this.

Delaware will have a good shot against Navy. We play Rhode Island earlier in the season, so we will have seen a version of Navy's offense. We have also played Navy a few times recently (and beat them in 2003), so the staff and players are familiar with the team and environment.

It is also important that we have an off week before the game. That will allow us extra time to prepare.

IF, (you might also read that as IF IF IF IF IF IF IF) we stay healthy.

Yep, thats why the line for the game looks like this

Northern Colorado +53 -115
Hawaii -53 -115

 All fun aside, this may be the most lopsided FCS vs FBS match up this year. :x

Both of NDSU's FBS games will be good games. I'd say we have a better chance against the gophers.

I just have a gut instinct about the Redbirds maybe sneaking up on them. Ill State is a top 25 FCS team this year and those usually have the best chance of springing an upset (see SIU and UNH last year).

I'll be cheering for every FCS team to knock off the BCS schools!

What about Appy State vs. Michigan?

While I do agree that I would like to see all of the FCS teams hand it to the BCS schools I don't think Appy has much of a chance in the Big House.

Cal Poly at Idaho, 9-8-07
Cal Poly will present much more of a challenge than Idaho State did last year. ISU lost to Idaho, 27-24.
I say CPU takes this one, 34-24.

I have to agree with this one. As best I remember, it was a close call the last time these two played. Most of these "upsets" come from top 25 FCS teams and UNI certainly fits that category.
