Thur, 4/1 to Sat, 4/3 Scoreboard

Post by BDKJMU »

Looks like at least 13 games postponed or cancelled, at most 28 still to be played. 4 of 5 CAA and and 4 of 5 MVFC postponed or cancelled.
Odd no Sunday games like had the last 5 weeks.

Postponed (could also include cancelled)
-G Webb/CSO (G Webb now playing Monmouth);
-SDSU @ NDSU (rescheduled 4/17)
-Lehigh @ Lafayette
-Alabama A&M @ Prairie View
-W&M @ Elon
-JMU @ UR
-UNH @ URI
Cancelled:
-SIU @ ILSU
-MO St @ UND (not showing on the below link)
-UNI @ USD
-Albany @ UD
-UTC @ WCU
-Cal Poly @ NAU

Sat, 4/3
I see at least 6 games left where both teams are still at least technically in the hunt for their respective conference AQ or an At-Large. Course maybe the 2 biggest games of the weekend, SDSU (4-1) @ NDSU (5-1/4-1), and JMU (4-0/2-0) @ UR (2-0) postponed.

-Villanova (1-1) @ Maine (2-1) (noon) Elimination game for both teams.

-RMU (0-1/0-0) @ KSU (3-0/1-0) (1 PM). RMU hasn’t played in 5 weeks since they lost to JMU. Have had 2 postponements to go along with 2 bye weeks. Big South AQ will probably come down to the winner of this vs the winner of Monmouth/G Webb.

-Monmouth (1-0) @ G Webb (2-0/1-0) (1 PM).

-Holy Cross (2-0) @ Bucknell (1-0) (1 PM).

-ETSU (3-1) @ VMI (5-0) VMI wins they clinch the So-Con. Could lose this game and still win the So-Con, as they are the only So-Con team that as of now can get to 7-1 in conference. ETSU still has a shot at the AQ if they win.

-EWU (3-1) @ UCD (3-1) (4:05 pm) Winner likely Big Sky At Large, loser done.

UNI vs USD has been canceled due to a positive test result and contact tracing in USD’s Tier 1 personnel.

SHSU (3-0) 14, NW ST (0-4) 3, middle 3rd qtr.

Watching on ESPN+. For SHSU's offense that suppose to be super duper, avg 59 points a game or thereabouts, not impressed at all.

Well, "Tier 1" implies at least a "Tier 2." Who are in Tier 2, and how relevant is that to whether or not a game is played?

Yes it does ...

COVID-19 Guidance on Multiple Teams in the Same Location
Everyone on-site should be identified as Tier 1, Tier 2 or Tier 3, in accordance with the basketball resocialization FAQ document. Tier 1 is the highest exposure tier and consists of student-athletes, coaches, athletic trainers and physical therapists, medical staff, equipment staff and officials. Tier 2 includes certain team staff and certain operational staff who may come into close contact with Tier 1 individuals but can reasonably maintain physical distance and use masks/face coverings. Tier 3 is the lowest exposure tier and includes media and broadcast workers and certain operational staff, such as housekeeping, catering, sanitation and transportation.

UNH game with URI was just cancelled due to China Virus cases at UNH. Next week's UNH-Stony Brook game is now in jeopardy. UNH played their opener, and now has had 3 straight games cancelled with a likely 4th game gone. All that would be left would be their game on 4/17 with Maine...

Now 4 of 5 CAA games now cancelled or postponed. Ties with the MVFC for 1st place in most cancelled/postponed games is a week this season.

We look unstoppable on O unless we stall drives with penalties and puzzling play calling at key moments. Worst offensive performance since the first game but still managed 583 yards.

D played decent again as well.

We need you guys to fall against ISU.

Our defense continues to save us. Our offense has shown glimpses that they're getting ready for a breakthrough then they go completely comatose. Gonna have to hope our defense shows up again against ISU if our offense doesnt show up again.

Weber is bubble, but likely in with a loss, as the Big Sky should get 2 in. Would be bubble only because 5 At large instead of 6 now that the 3 teams playing MEAC gets an AQ, what a joke.
