SHSU 7, Monmouth 0, early 2nd qtr. Monmouth has had a punt blocked (well after a high snap the punter never kicked the ball), which lead to the SHSU TD. Then Monmouth drove and had 1st and goal at about the 8 yds line, and ended up thowing a pick on 3rd down. Both teams have been forced to pubt 3x, so surprising amount of defense so far.

Announcers said NCAA allowing 50% capacity starting next week.

JMU 7, VMI 3 end of 1st qtr.
-VMI with a couple nice drives, but threw an INT in JMU’s endzone.
-JMU with 99 yd TD, longest in school history. Also threw INT in VMI’s territory on a tipped ball..

Looks like SHSU-Monmouth is about to go final. 21-15 win for SHSU....

Two thoughts:

Sam Houston State is a good program. But I think they are the most consistently over rated program in FCS.

I think Monmouth was capable of running the ball between the tackles on Sam Houston State and didn't try that enough. I think they had potential to wear Sam Houston State's defense out. But they'd do things like make 5 or 6 yards on a first down run then feel like they had to throw the ball on second down.

Not quite, Sammy needed a defensive stand in the red zone to stop Monmouth from a tying/winning score.

You obviously have never met Jacksonville State or Kennesaw State.

Watching the NDSU/EWU game, and EWU’s defense looks like a bunch of stiffs. Seems they are always great offense/sorry defense. When was the last time EWU had a defense? 2010 when they won the NC?

This is a stereotypical physical butt whipping. It's one thing when you lose big because the other team is doing whiz bang fancy offense. It's another thing when they just smash mouth you to death like that.
