- NConf Record: 6-6
Overall: 12-14
vs. FCS: 5-2
Overall: 7-4
Best Performance: (#14) UC Davis 53, San Diego 7 - Hunter Rodrigues throws for 322 yards and 4 touchdowns (0 INTs) as the Aggies embarrass the Toreros on their home field.
Worst Performance: Northern Arizona 7, South Dakota 34 - The Lumberjacks have now lost 6-straight DI non-conference games since they thumped UTEP in the 2019 opener.
Most Surprising Result: Northern Colorado 45, Houston Baptist 13 - Bear DE David Hoage put up 8 tackles, 4 TFLs, 3 Sacks, and 2 fumble recoveries to help his team crush an HBU squad that did scare a couple FBS opponents the last couple seasons.

NWST 10-13 ALCORN
MCNSE 7-34 LSU
NICH 24-27 ULL
- NConf Record: 1-5
Overall: 2-10
vs. FCS: 1-2
Overall: 2-3
Best Performance: Nicholls St. 24, (FBS) Louisiana-Lafayette 27 - Lindsey Scott's 480 yards of total offense weren't quite enough for the Colonels to upset a Sun Belt squad that was 21-5 over the previous 2+ seasons coming in.
Worst Performance: Houston Baptist 13, Northern Colorado 45 - The Huskies put up just 266 yards and commit 5 turnovers in a pathetic performance.
Most Surprising Result: Houston Baptist 13, Northern Colorado 45 - Close losses to teams like Texas Tech & New Mexico indicated potential progress for the Huskies, but a blowout loss to a perennial Big Sky bottom-dweller indicates nothing that isn't vomit-inducing.

Overall: 10-1
Best Performance: (#21) Northern Iowa 34, Sacramento St. 16 - 6 forced turnovers and a QB change at halftime propel the Panthers to a strong road victory.
Worst Performance: Western Illinois 7, (#4) Montana 42 - The Leathernecks did force 4 turnovers, but that was overshadowed by a 518-151 deficit in total yardage.
Most Surprising Result: (#8) Southern Illinois 23, (FBS) Kansas St. 31 - The Salukis really put a scare into the team that handled Stanford one week earlier by scoring 23 unanswered points the end the first half.

Best Performance: (#16) Jacksonville St. 20, (FBS) Florida St. 17 - Damond Philyaw-Johnson catches a 59-yard hail mary (his only catch) on the final play to stun the Seminoles… not to mention everyone else.
Worst Performance: Dixie St. 3, (#10) Weber St. 41 - In 2 games, the Trailblazers have scored a grand total of 10 points against Big Sky opponents. Oh, and they still have to play UC Davis & Montana.
Most Surprising Result: (#16) Jacksonville St. 20, (FBS) Florida St. 17 - The Gamecocks become the first I-AA/FCS team to beat Florida State. The only other FCS-ers to even play FSU within two scores were JSU in 2009 and Samford in 2018.
