I'll homer it again. Aside from Sac, I think SW Missouri State at NDSU might be a decent game, albeit a Bizon win. I also like any Ivy game between Harvard and either Yale or Princeton....

Toss up with NAU vs. Sac, Nova-URI, and MSU-NDSU. I went with the valley.

FWIW, Dartmouth may be the best of the bunch.SuperHornet wrote: ↑Mon Oct 18, 2021 10:26 am I also like any Ivy game between Harvard and either Yale or Princeton....

Re: I-AA Game of the Week - WEEK EIGHT
You might be right, 89, but you'll note in my new playoff thread, I discounted Dartmouth's chances if the Ivy were to suddenly decide to play ball. I think either Harvard or Princeton would take what would likely be the sole bid. That said, it would probably come at the expense of Sac State. LOL....89Hen wrote: ↑Mon Oct 18, 2021 11:27 amFWIW, Dartmouth may be the best of the bunch.SuperHornet wrote: ↑Mon Oct 18, 2021 10:26 am I also like any Ivy game between Harvard and either Yale or Princeton....

I don't think Princeton is really in that same level. I think it comes down to the Harvard/Dartmouth game, and truth be told, Yale could still figure in this.SuperHornet wrote: ↑Mon Oct 18, 2021 11:39 amYou might be right, 89, but you'll note in my new playoff thread, I discounted Dartmouth's chances if the Ivy were to suddenly decide to play ball. Dartmouth barely beat Valpo. I'm thinking the winner of this weeks game wins the Ivy.GannonFan wrote: ↑Mon Oct 18, 2021 12:38 pmI don't think Princeton is really in that same level. Re: I-AA Game of the Week - WEEK EIGHT
As is the case every year, can't read too much into an Ivy team's first game. Valpo was playing their 3rd game at that point, Dartmouth was playing its opener, and on the road on top of it. And they still won by double digits. Since then they dismantled a not-terrible Sacred Heart team, beat Yale, and just ran away from UNH. Princeton's best win to date is a shootout against a Brown team that has already gotten run over by Harvard, Rhode Island, and *cough* Bryant. Maybe Princeton is something, but they haven't shown it yet this year.

UNH would be at the bottom of the MVFC, Valpo is bad, like really bad, but I only saw them against NDSU. Maybe Dartmouth did have a bad game. Should be interesting between the top 3.GannonFan wrote: ↑Mon Oct 18, 2021 1:59 pmAs is the case every year, can't read too much into an Ivy team's first game. Went with Harvard-Princeton.
If Harvard wins, I’ll go with Harvard-Dartmouth next week.

Missouri St. vs NDSU. A match-up that has not only interesting implications for the teams but the entire conference depending on how the season shakes out.
The Ivy's are an interesting side story but that is about it (sorry IT).

JSU @ SHSU: Last chance for someone to keep SHSU from finishing 10-0.
NAU @ Sac St: Does Sac St have a letdown?
MO St @ NDSU: 2nd toughest of NDSU’s remaining 5 games?
VU rolls Rhody.
Morehead St? I haven’t paid attention to them since JMU beat them 68-17 in the opener.
Guess I’ll go with Mo St/NDSU..

Probably the best chance in the MFVC for an upset game. USD is also playing well, up to #10 in the AGS Poll this week, Missouri State at #14. 3 Top 15 teams coming up.Winterborn wrote: ↑Mon Oct 18, 2021 4:14 pm Missouri St. vs NDSU. Loser of the Rhody@Nova game might not win again this season.

You‘ve included I think every game this season between ranked teams except #6/7 JMU @ #23/25 UD? WTF?

Re: I-AA Game of the Week - WEEK EIGHT
I think that games that should be 21+ point blowouts aren't normally included, but I could be wrong.
JMU will roll from their first series in this one. I see something like 56-10 as the final. It's not sandbagging. Delaware is a terrible team, without a starting QB.
I'll be there with Cluck and Ivy, my first game in 2 years. Free food and booze! Not sure I'll stay for the 3rd q though, honestly.

#21/NR JSU (3-3) @ #1 SHSU (6-0) (SHSU -17.5)
and not
#6/7 JMU (5-1) @ #23/25 UD (3-3) (JMU -14)
JMU -14 sounds about right. JMU‘s 5th straight vs a ranked (at the time) team). 2nd straight road game. Sure JMU started hot (68-10 over Morehead, 55-7 over Maine, up 37-10 vs Weber mid 4th). But it has been mediocrity since that high water mark vs Weber in the 4th.
-Weber 2 late 4th qtr TDs
-The debacle @ UNH (UNH 2 defensive TDs & a 3rd set up off JMU turnovers).
-The 1 point loss to VU,
-The ho hum defense great/offense meh 19-3 win over UR in the rain).
No way in hell JMU wins by 46. I‘m thinking JMU covers, more like 27-10.
I‘ll be in CT this weekend at my brothers fishing, watching on Flo (Flo sucks balls).
