I REALLY don't trust huge spreads in the playoffs, particularly when they involve teams in conferences that I judge to be about the same in quality.
I'll take Holy Cross 28-17.

Both of these teams like to run, but Holy Cross is the only one that's good at stopping it. Sacred Heart has also been terrible in the redzone offensively.

Sacred Heart is spreading it out. QB McCray is 4-6-60 with a long of 35 to three different receivers. Three backs have between 4 and 8 carries apiece, and one has the TD. Holy Cross' QB Sluka seems to be more efficient at 7-8-80 with a long of 31, spreading it to 4 receivers. Sluka seems to be taking the bulk of the carries so far, 10-44 with a long of 11. Three other backs total 5 carries for 2 yards. HC has punted once for 62 yards. Defensively, HC has two sacks. SH has punted twice for a 48-yard average and a long of 54. No notable defensive stats for SH.
Overall, I'd say that, other than score, HC has the advantage so far.

The game has reached the half. SH still leads 7-3.

You're probably right.

Maybe, but I think it would be harder to get to 16 with 11 auto-bids (and the potential for 14 auto-bids if the refuseniks could ever be induced to play ball with the playoffs).

I'm only watching this now because Kennesaw is already up on Davidson 14-0 with 5;50 left in 1st. Might just stop watching until noon when UC Davis plays SDSU.

Yep. Of the 8 seeded teams, they get the easiest 2nd round game.
