This will be great one but I'm going with the Dukes I hope Griz WR Ryan Simpson get some playing time he at 6'6 210 has obvious NFL size at the position.I would stick him on the track squad and work on his speed so he can become a deep threat in the future.

He’s not a burner. But he’s got GREAT hands. More of a possession receiver (Ala Steve Largent)….we’ve got two burners (Akem & Flowers) who ARE deep threats and are finally being utilized as such.

Very true! :thumb:

I haven't even thought of the next game. ETSU will be a tough enough game this week. Hope we can beat them, and avoid getting upset.

Well it would definitely be a huge upset if ETSU were to surprise NDSU….and i haven’t thought about the next game either. JMU is gonna be tough. Toughest game we’ve played to date…fortunately UM’s D is stout and the O is performing at its highest level of the year…guess we’ll know in about 84 hours.

Ain't no way ETSU beats NDSU in Fargo. I think both Montana and JMU have a good shot, though there are no guarantees.

That said, the Griz are my pick among the remaining teams to win in Frisco....

I"ll be in the Frisco area this winter, so I would rather go for a Montana game versus any other team, other than the Bison.

I would add him to the burner group every time I hear about a WHITE GUY playing WR he is automatically called a POSSESSION WR whereas BLACK GUYS are DEEP THREATS.I have a personal dream I want to see a BLACK QB team up with a WHITE WR with size and speed. In NFL LORE all of the great pass&catch combos all the QBs were White of course.I bet Akem&Flowers are black????

Flowers is #19 and he is our kick return guy as well as WR - he's a burner. He has 5 kick returns for TD's in his career. One short of the record I believe.

Time stamped to show his big play against EWU.

I would love for Munchie Filer III to be on this list, too, but given the number of times I saw O'Connell's name either announced as D-POY or nominated for it, it's hard to argue against him....

yes, Akem and Flowers are black. Our burner white guy (Sulser) blew out his knee again this year and missed most of the season. He’s our slot guy, but ran something like a 10.3 100 or something like that in HS….

Personally, I don’t care what color the WR’s are. Or the QB. As long as they can throw, catch and run…

Gotta be honest. I see him making most of his impact on Kick Return, if they kick to him, and jet sweeps. I have yet to see Flowers be a receiving threat. Don't know why. He doesn't appear to have stone hands. Maybe his job is to simply stretch the field. Either that, or they have been waiting ALL year to finally bust out his big game. Double secret plan.
