Undergrad enrollment at their Buies Creek of 2500+, total 3300. Add online (including Ft Bragg & Camp Lejune) & grad it 5600. Apparently the population of Buies Creek is also 3300, so its literally the college and not much else.

Their mascot is Gaylord the Camel.

Barker Lane Stadium is 5.5k capacity:

At least its bigger than Monmouth's 4.2k

They sound like a joke until you look at their recruit class:
In nailing down what according to both Rivals and 247Sports is the nation’s No. 1 recruiting class at the FCS level, the Camels are welcoming in 11 signees with three- or four-star designations, per the major services.

Another ranking has Campbell with three of the top 11 FCS signees, four of the top 26 and five of the division’s top 37.
Like Jackson State with Deion Sanders, they have a former star NFL player as HC, signing outlandish talent for an FCS, esp a small private with D2 like facilities. That's basically a good G5 or lower level P5 type class, albeit a smaller (18 signees). Maybe they have a major booster throwing out some serious NIL $$$$.

Cut it out, its Campbell, they suck and they're always gonna suck. The CAA even sucks now, I don’t understand how adding Campbell benefits the Colonial.

They looked solid last year. Good athletes. Although they did lose their stud RB due to personal reasons.

Well, for a school with only 3 full seasons of scholly football, their recruits sure blow away EWU's (and well everyone in FCS). Heck, their class (ranked 78th by Rivals, and 89th by 247), is ranked ahead of most G5.

They sign a couple more classes like that, they'll be competing for Frisco.

Who cares, lets see how that recruiting class fares in the playoffs. Lets see how they fare in the CAA, ill be surprised if they EVER win a conference championship, let alone a national championship. Again, how does the CAA benefit from adding the Camels?
