Most Surprising Result: (#5) Weber St. 38, (#3) Montana St. 43 - Has any team ever had a more mixed-bag day on special teams? The Wildcats had two return touchdowns (1 kickoff, 1 punt) in the first quarter, but they also allowed a Division I record 4 safeties all thanks to bad punt snaps.

Best Performance: (#1) South Dakota St. 49, (#20) North Dakota 35 - How does a team score 49 points with only 308 yards of total offense? By getting a pick-six and starting 3 second-half drives inside their opponent's 20, just as the Jackrabbits did.
Worst Performance: Missouri St. 20, Northern Iowa 41 - The Bears are outgained by 301 yards, their largest yardage deficit against an FCS opponent since a 59-7 loss to South Dakota State in 2018.
Most Surprising Result: South Dakota 27, (#14) Southern Illinois 24 - The Coyotes bench QB Carson Camp and his backup, Aidan Bouman—along with the SoDak running game—leads a comeback upset.

Best Performance: Stephen F. Austin 41, Southern Utah 38 - Xavier Gipson catches 10 balls for a school-record 256 yards and 2 TDs to help his Lumberjacks score exactly 41 points for the 3rd. straight game.
Worst Performance: Tennessee Tech 30, Kennesaw St. 33 (OT) - Seth Carlisle's 16 tackles weren't enough to stop a big game on the ground and through the air for Kennesaw QB Xavier Shepherd.
Most Surprising Result: Eastern Kentucky 56, North Alabama 53 - They pulled it out at the last second, but allowing a 200-yard rusher (ShunDerrick Powell) to a squad that is winless against DI opponents has to be a glaring concern for the Colonels.
