This is NOT turning out to be the advertised blowout so far, though the HC QB has had some early game jitters. Some aggressive play-calling, including putting a surprise onside kick out of bounds after the first TD. SD State has been corralled in the red zone, hitting two out of three FGs. Incredible play call for HC on fourth and inches, an old-school jump pass-pop pass when the entire SD State defense was expecting sneak (what I would have called.

Pretty good showing by HC. Tied at 21 in 4th, despite giving up the pick 6. Then gave up 3 TDs last 10 min. The last one with about 30 seconds left by SDSU was kind of garbage.

The HC coach called 2 timeouts in a row when he could've just let the clock run out. That's fair game, to me.

My initial impulse is to say that I think that was not a real good performance by South Dakota State. If they had that much of a problem with a Holy Cross's dual threat quarterback you have to ask if they can handle Montana State's dual threat quarterback and, if Incarnate Word gets by North Dakota State and South Dakota State gets by Montana State, Incarnate Word's dual threat quarterback.

But I might not be giving enough credit to Holy Cross. The final score was deceptive. Holy Cross definitely had a chance to win that game.
