Bad Blood at U of San Diego

There's probably an argument to place this in the Coaching Changes thread, but this has blown up to the point that I felt it warranted its own thread. If the mods disagree, then it can safely be moved over there.
The Athletic Department at San Diego has announced the "retirement" of their 80-year-old football HC, but he's maintaining that his intent was NOT retirement, but rather that they're shoving him out the door.
That's not the right way to treat someone who's been coaching as long as he has at all levels. ESPECIALLY at a faith-based school. SMH....

Making a move simply because of age doesn't make sense, BF. Not unless the dude in question is obviously getting senile. That doesn't seem to be the case here. It sounds like the University is trying to cover up the Athletic Director's ego....
