Former Montana Coach Don Read Dies at 90

Read coached the Griz from 1986-95 and led UM to its first national title in his final game. I'm not really sure how FootballScoop got this story before anyone else, but whatever…

He was also the link between Mouse Davis' tenure and Pokey Allen's era at Portland State.

I was disappointed to hear this. Historically one of the best coaches around.

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

A beloved figure in Montana--Papa Bear. Ahead of his time with his 5-wide passing offense.
