One regular week left and one rivalry week to close out the regular season and I am at 66-16 for the year. Even with the rivalry week coming up, there are still some great games this week before that, which makes them harder to predict. Who's still playing? Who's mailed it in already? Who is gearing up for the playoffs? Here are my predictions for the conference games this weekend.
NAU at UNC---The Lumberjacks need to win and that may still not be enough to make the playoffs, but they certainly do not want to stub their toes here. The Bears have had a tough season, and they close out with two tough games to get another win. Lumberjacks get a win and continue to hope for a bearth...NAU 31, UNC 10.
PSU at UM---The Vikings have two conference wins but are playing everyone tough on their schedule. They come in to this game at the Grizzlies' lair, who are in between two big games themselves on their schedule. The Grizzlies cannot overlook the Vikings in this game, otherwise it may not be a win. But...UM 42, PSU 28.
ISU at EWU---Two teams that are playing for pride and enjoying it. The Bengals got a good road win last week and would love to get another one to build for next season. The Eagles also scored a road win last week and continue to salvage their season favorably. This could have a lot of scoring so take the home team...EWU 48, ISU 44.
SAC at CP---Conference play started seven weeks ago and the Hornets never got going. They go on the road this week for what should be an easy game against the Mustangs, who have been competitive in conference play without the wins. The Mustangs would love to get a win here, but the Hornets should prevail...SAC 26, CP 21.
WSU at UI---The Wildcats had their good moments early, but bad moments lately. Things are not looking up for them this week. The Vandals, on the other hand, would love to pile on the Wildcats misfortunes and make their case for a bye in the first round of the playoffs. Vandals should get this one...UI 38, WSU 14.
MSU at UCD---The conference title game. The Bobcats have been winning convincingly in conference play which has been surprising, given how competitive the conference has been. Likewise, the Aggies have been winning as well and looking good at it. This is for the AQ of the conference, but both are in...MSU 31, UCD 24.

Re: Big Sky Predictions 11-16
Idaho St. 38-49 EWU — The Eagles are 1-5 in games decided by 10 points or less; can they keep this one from going down to the wire?
Sac State 34-24 Cal Poly — The Hornets have also been allergic to winning this year; can the 'Stangs play well enough to make it close late?
Montana St. 24-26 Davis — Miles Hastings has 14 TD passes and 0 INTs in his last 4 games; can the Bobcats disrupt him?
Weblol 17-37 Idaho — Idaho's defense hasn't been as stellar of late; can they regain their form against a badly slumping opponent?
Portland St. 24-38 Montana — The Griz O and Griz D have moved in opposite directions over the past month; can they at least score on an awful PSU defense?
NAU 21-10 NoCo — The Lumberjacks have lost 5 straight in Greeley; can they end that skid with a playoff berth in their sights?

5-1, missed Cal Poly's win. 71-17 for the year heading into rivalry week.JALMOND wrote: ↑Wed Nov 13, 2024 7:15 pm One regular week left and one rivalry week to close out the regular season and I am at 66-16 for the year.
