Best Performance: San Diego 37, Morehead St. 14 - The Toreros were already eliminated from playoff contention before kickoff (Morehead had to win to prevent Drake from clinching the auto-bid), but they obviously didn't let RB Isaiah Smith know that—he ran for 205 and a TD in a surprisingly lopsided victory.
Worst Performance: Davidson 17, Valparaiso 18 - The Wildcats were held under 300 yards in 2 of their last 3 games after averaging 481 yards-per-game in the first 8.
Most Surprising Result: Valparaiso 18, Davidson 17 - The Crusaders score a 17-yard touchdown on the final play and get a two-point conversion to let the now-fired Landon Fox go out with a win.
Tomorrow: the rest of the playoff conferences.

Also, what was Davidson thinking at the end of this one…?

Best Performance: Lehigh 38, Lafayette 14 - The Mountain Hawks clinch their first playoff appearance in 7 years and their first winning season in 8 years after their two leading rushers "nicely" finished with 69 yards apiece.
Worst Performance: Georgetown 0, Holy Cross 34 - The Hoyas fall in 4 of their last 5 games, giving them their 12th. straight losing season.
Best Performance: Central Connecticut St. 21, (#19) Duquesne 14 - Christopher Jean picks off 3 passes, adding to an additional 4 by his teammates, to help the Blue Devils wrestle the NEC auto-bid away from the favored Dukes.
Worst Performance: St. Francis (PA) 20, Mercyhurst 21 - Are this year's Red Flash the worst FCS team to ever beat an FBS? The only contender I can think of was the 2013 Nicholls State squad that ended a 21-game losing streak to DI opponents by upsetting Western Michigan (they finished 4-8 with only one additional DI win).
Most Surprising Result: (#19) Duquesne 14, Central Connecticut St. 21 - Darius Perrantes threw 7 interceptions, nearly doubling his season total, and his team still lost by only 1 score. If he'd held back just, say, a couple times and finished with 5 picks, would that have been enough for the Dukes to pull out the win?

Best Performance: (#15) Villanova 38, ("FBS") Delaware 28 - The Wildcats leave no doubt as to their playoff status after beating Delaware for the 17th. time in the last 19 meetings.
Worst Performance: Hampton 34, Albany 41 - The Pirates took a 28-0 lead in the second quarter after 4 touchdown runs by Tymere Robinson, but they followed that by being outscored 41-6 the rest of the way.
Most Surprising Result: Monmouth 55, (#18) Stony Brook 47 - If Monmouth had a defense, they would've been awesome: they went 6-0 this year when scoring 40+ and 0-6 when scoring less than 40.
Best Performance: Tennessee St. 28, (#12) Southeast Missouri St. 21 - The Tigers race out to a 21-0 lead and hold on in earning their first playoff appearance in 11 years and their first conference title in 25(!) years.
Worst Performance: Gardner-Webb 28, Western Illinois 45 - The Bulldogs can only manage 55 rushing yards against a team that was allowing 245 rushing yards-per-game and 6.4 yards-per-carry coming in.
Most Surprising Result: (#12) Southeast Missouri St. 21, Tennessee St. 28 - The Redhawks still made the playoffs and lucked into a home game, but their last 3 outings—losses to TSU and Lindenwood plus a single-digit win over WIU—don't inspire confidence.
