With the push for school administered NIL money the Dept of Ed is ruling it must be title IV compliant. Collectives would remain the work around I think but it’s going to create some confusion and likely legal issues sure.

I for one am a huge fan of the NIL DEAL for the obvious fact that it makes the playing field equal for the athletes and these coaches don't have all the cards in their possession.Reggie Bush made the comment about Nick Saban and his reason for putting in his retirement papers saying that athletes can look him in the eye and ask for money to play at Alabama and if they did not get what they wanted they would leave and go elsewhere.

Missed this post earlier this year. Old news but in Feb the Dept of Ed ruled that NIL $$$ doe NOT have to be Title IX compliant.
