- NConf Record: 9-2
Overall: 22-24
vs. FCS: 8-1
Overall: 18-9
Best Performance: (#20) Sacramento St. 45, Central Arkansas 16 - The talented Hornets look like they may be putting things together as they amass 602 yards of total offense and 8 sacks on defense.
Worst Performance: Cal Poly 17, Stephen F. Austin 35 - Mustang starting QB Ty Dieffenbach went down with an injury in the first quarter and his replacement, Jackson Akins, proceeded to throw 3 interceptions (1 was returned for a TD by Malachi Williams).
Most Surprising Result: (#4) Montana St. 17, Mercyhurst 0 - This game must’ve been a blur because each team only had 6 offensive drives. Mercyhurst actually had a 19-play drive end in a punt.

vs. FCS: 5-2
Overall: 21-6
Best Performance: (#17) Southern Illinois 59, Southeast Missouri St. 31 - Saluki QB DJ Williams had a monster game, throwing for 342 yards and 4 TDs on just 25 attempts as well as running for 151 yards and 2 TDs.
Worst Performance: Northern Iowa 9, Utah Tech 20 - The Panthers gain just 207 yards against an opponent that had lost 19 of their previous 20 games.
Most Surprising Result: (#8) Illinois St. 38, North Alabama 36 (2OT) - The somewhat underachieving Redbirds dodged a massive bullet as North Alabama missed an extra point with 33 seconds left that would’ve given them the lead.

vs. FCS: 2-3
Overall: 12-9
Best Performance: (#13) Abilene Christian 45, (#12) Austin Peay 31 - LB Rashon Myles gets a hat trick in fumble recoveries as the Wildcats win a game that figures to matter a lot come November.
Worst Performance: Southern Utah 34, (#11) UC Davis 50 - In 2 home games, the Thunderbirds are allowing just 82.5 yards-per-game on the ground and 3.1 yards-per-carry. In 2 road games, the T-Birds are giving up a whopping 326.5 rushing ypg and an astonishing 8.6 ypc.
Most Surprising Result: Eastern Kentucky 12, (STATS #22) West Georgia 33 - The Wolves have been surprisingly dangerous, to be sure, but this loss and an unimpressive win over Houston Christian suggests the Colonels won’t be making back-to-back playoff appearances.

Best Performance: San Diego 42, Princeton 35 - After falling behind 21-0 in the first quarter and 35-14 in the second, the Toreros closed the game with 4 unanswered touchdowns—the last 3 all rushing TDs by Adam Criter.
Worst Performance: Stetson 7, Harvard 59 - The Hatters lose yards-per-play 8.0-3.2 as they suffer yet another ugly defeat.
Most Surprising Result: Morehead St. 45, (NAIA) Kentucky Christian 28 - The outcome was never in doubt, but still… not blowing out an awful NAIA team is a bad look.
Tomorrow: the rest of the playoff conferences.
