September is gone and the calendar has been turned to October. This is when the fun of non-conference games are past and the work begins. The conference had a taste of it last weekend with some excellent games. This week only four games on the schedule with four teams taking a break. After a full slate last week and going 4-2, I am now at 46-6 for the year. Here are the predictions for the four conference games this weekend.
UM at ISU---The Grizzlies got a good home win last weekend over Idaho and look to continue on the road. The Bengals got a good conference road win over the upstart Northern Colorado squad and are eager to face one of the top teams at home. A good test for both teams...UM 26, ISU 22.
MSU at NAU---An excellent matchup with two top teams going at it. The Bobcats had little trouble last week in their impressive home win over Eastern Washington while the Lumberjacks kept Portland State at arms length in securing a good road win. The winner gets the nod for a top spot...NAU 31, MSU 29.
PSU at EWU---Both teams are located near the bottom of the standings and both have not looked good so far. The Vikings tried to keep up with Northern Arizona last week while the Eagles lost track of Montana State rather quickly. The winner will stay out of the cellar for at least a week...PSU 29, EWU 28.
UCD at CP---Two teams that are hard to figure this early. The Aggies quickly dispatched Weber State at home last week while the Mustangs posted a shocking road win against Sacramento State that opened many eyes around the conference. This game is at their place and they could do it again...UCD 28, CP 24.
